Product showed up very fast with Amazon Prime order. Battery was almost fully charged. Case has texture to have a non-slip feeling. Fit is very good and snug. Weight is OK, to me anyways, and it gives the feeling of holding something rather than feeling like your always going to drop it. I put my phone in my front pocket and it feels thin and comfortably stays in place. I bought Alpatronix Qi charging pad and it picks up and notices charge fine. At first before installing the tempered glass screen protector I thought it maybe felt a little cheap and like plastic but after I got it installed it has a very good feel to the glass. There were no instructions on installing the protector so from doing these before I just used process of elimination. I first took the phone out of the case, cleaned the screen with the supplied wet nap, then cleaned with the supplied dry wipe. I then returned the phone to the case to use for alignment, cleaned the surface once more, wet then dry. Next I used the supplied blue sticky tap and went across the whole surface up and down to remove any lint. Peeled the cover off the screen protector that says remove, carefully holding the edges as to not get any oils or debris on surface. I then placed the lens inside the beveled edge of the case starting at the top and laid the protective lens in place and started with pressure from the middle out working my way to the bottom. After it looked adhered well I pulled the phone from the case and went over the whole surface again using mild pressure making sure there were no air bubbles. Worked perfect. The one small issue I have is the tactile buttons are very firm to press in. This is not that big of deal to me but to some it might be. I look at it as maybe a design feature to keep from the buttons being to easy to press when you don't want it to be. I had previously used Mophie Juice pack as my go to for battery case and was satisfied with there product but they told me they were not making the Juice pack anymore so they lost me on the extra battery back-up case. So far I am happy with the switch to Alpatronix. I have only had this product for a few days so I will try and update later after I get some time and use with it. ... show more

Since Apple no longer makes its own battery cases, I sought out a replacement when I upgraded to the 12 mini. This came closest in form and functionality. It's a little hard to grip, but worth it for the extra battery life. I wish the case drained first (and automatically) like Apple's cases used to; with this one you have to wait until your phone runs down and then actively turn on the battery case to recharge the phone. However, this one is better than most of the others on the market for 2 reasons: You can leave the phone in the case and charge both together, and most importantly, you can do so wirelessly. Unfortunately, my case lost the ability to charge wirelessly after about 5 months. It still worked in all other respects, but since wireless charging was the key differentiator between this and its cheaper competitors, this was a big problem. Thankfully, Alpatronix has great customer service and honors its warranty without hesitation. I reported the issue over a weekend, when they were closed, but I heard back from them first thing Monday morning. Then, after a bit of diagnostic back-and-forth, they told me to mail them the case and they'd fix it or replace it ASAP. Amazingly, exactly 6 days after I sent them the defective case by standard USPS first-class mail, I received a brand-new case in the mail. I repeat, SIX DAYS. Given that these were shipped regular mail in both directions, that must mean they shipped the new one out within 24 hours of receiving the bad one. Very impressive!!! ... show more

    • These are terrible - do not buy
Size: iPhone 12 Pro Max / iPhone 13 Pro Max
TLDR: Alpatronix sells a bad product and hopes you don’t use their warranty; warranty is not free; expect to be without a phone case for well over a week while they decide how to blame you for poor product quality. I’ve owned several of these cases and each one has failed within months of purchase - shame on me for thinking that I happened to have gotten a few duds and giving the benefit of the doubt. The quality is atrocious and their warranty process is no doubt in keeping with the product’s terrible quality. Here’s a list of genuinely hilarious things learned during my interaction with their warranty people/customer support: -They claim these battery cases regularly last “a few years” - this truly laughable. Never had one last longer than several months. My most recent one lasted three months - this the rule, not the exception, in my experience. -“…we always advise on shipping with USPS as they provide flat rate postage and free packaging materials on site, so it should only be about $3-$4 to ship this back.” So like many solid scams, this warranty costs money AND the time it takes to go to USPS and have them package up Alpatronix’s terrible phone battery case. And like their lofty but flatly disingenuous claims of quality and a solid warranty on their Amazon page, this is nonsense: at $4 to ship from my location, the package would likely take 4-5 days to arrive + 4-5 days for the return trip. I have zero reason to think they deal with what I presume are mountains of terrible returned products in one business day so, at a minimum, we’re talking about a 10 day process at the very least, as opposed to the absurd 7-9 day timetable they gave me. And if you’re out of the country and could really use the extended battery life afforded by a battery case, you’re out of luck! -They mentioned “verifying the defect” SEVERAL times in their correspondence with me, kinda reminded me about how insurance companies talk about out-of-network care. I’m genuinely tempted to send it back just to see if, as I very strongly suspect, they’ll try to blame me for their product ceasing to function for no discernible reason. Already frustrated enough though. -You are required to register your product in a Google form, then use another Google form to submit your warranty claim. About a day after the latter is submitted, they send you a GIANT email comprised of disjointed paragraphs asking for: your order number (second time asking for it - they already requested/captured that in their not-at-all unprofessional Google form), several troubleshooting steps that amount to “is it charged” and “is it turned on”, 30 minutes of charging + a hard reset (both of which accomplish nothing), and five photos, one of which needs to capture the serial number (another thing they already captured in their form) which *surprise surprise* rubs off and becomes illegible after a few months and less than a dozen instances of sliding the phone in/out of the case. I expect that the serial number becoming illegible works out pretty well for them because this is how I suspect things go for most people: - Lightning plug on the case suddenly and for no discernible reason begins to fail to charge phone - Consumer begins removing phone from case daily to charge phone - Daily removal causes serial number to rub off and become illegible - Daily removal causes the battery case’s on-board lightning plug to fail to charge the phone at all (phone could still have been charged wirelessly). Battery portion of battery case is now useless - Consumer remembers warranty and, upon filling out *super professional* Google form, realizes their serial number is now illegible - Another consumer bamboozled by Alpatronix - an awful, awful company In conclusion, and to reiterate: Alpatronix is a terrible company that sells *at least* one atrocious product and goes to great lengths to avoid honoring what their Amazon page laughably calls “a 12-month worry-free warranty and friendly, easy-to-reach support.” ... show more
