It says its not recommended for a delay use microwave, so now im skeptical to use it. Im afraid it's depositing chemicals or something and thats why they recommended a sperate microwave. Not sure what materials it's made of, but I accidentally stabbed it with a pen and it gave away and actually went through quite easily. More fragile than, I'd say, drywall maybe or poorly mixed plaster of Paris? Which im sure the material serves a purpose for the actual kilning (?) process but just note its likely om the fragile side so handle with care and use heavy duty oven mits to remove after using. It comes with a variety of sheets, theyre like little mats to place your materials on before microwaving. Per the instructions it seems pretty easy and straightforward to use. However...since I dont have a 2nd microwave, I cant use this and ultimately have to trash it. Kind of a bummer. Wish it said it on the listing before I got it!

Too much missing information for me. The kiln appears to be of good quality, but I am unable to test it ATM. The instructions are minimal, but they do specify one thing I didn't expect: to use a separate microwave. And their "kit" includes several types of kiln papers, but there are no glass samples, no gloves or other tools. These extras will need to be purchased separately. I will update my review after I have a chance to actually use the kiln.

This might technically work, but after looking into how these microwave kilns function, I decided not to even try. There were no instructions included with mine which sent me down the internet rabbit hole trying to figure out what to do From what I’ve read and watched, using this in a standard kitchen microwave could be a serious safety risk. There’s a real possibility of damaging your appliance, or worse, creating a fire hazard. Unless you’re already experienced with glass fusing or have a completely separate setup just for this purpose, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not beginner-friendly, and it’s definitely not something I’d feel comfortable experimenting with at home.
