I find it near impossible to find the right shade of foundation. The Almay Smart Shade is great! It goes on white, but when it blends in, it changes to the perfect shade. I have no clue how it works, but it does. I put dots all over my face and blend with a beauty sponge. It doesn't look too heavy or cakey. I am very pleased with it. I tend to use a powder foundation in the summer and spring, but my skin is so much drier in the winter that I needed a liquid one. ... show more

Saw this on a Vogue makeup tutorial, saw it was on Amazon, saw it was like $9, thought ok yeah I'll give it a try. I got the "light medium, mine". Really didn't expect much, BB and CC creams never work for me (too light, oily, or patchy) and this was just a random white substance with SPF. But oh my god. It took maybe 15 seconds of rubbing and dispersing before the white started to fade. It was light at first but than even the lightness faded. And lo and behold, it matched my skin tone. You can see in the picture the difference is so subtle and natural. My neck is really pale but you can see the difference in color and how it blended. I love it ,!! The foundation is white more going transparent type of cream, feels and look like a anti-aging cream for the dark circles under your eyes at first then it adjust to your skin tone while you applying it with your fingers in your face.., yes people apply it with your index finger cuz with brashes it's not going to work. When it's all in your skin it's dry nicely not like a extra layer of skin or oily either ..it make you look natural and beautiful I have it on since 5am and it's 2 o'clock it still look the some don't need for applying more foundation. sorry I forgot to mention Amazon send me a email saying my package got lost on the mail but I got a replacement really fast thank you so much Amazon your loyal costumer peace ✌ ... show more

This product didn't really match my skin tone. I purchased Light Medium, that went on as a whitish cream, but appeared to darken a bit too much on most of my face, yet remain light enough on my nose, where it settled into my pores as too-light spots. I would buy the lighter tone and use the different tones on different parts of my face, but this product did not do any better on my increasingly sensitive skin than the other big name product I had used prior to it. I’ve been seeing a lot of advertisements for Perebelle CC cream and was tempted to order, but the price was prohibitive for me. This product works great at a fraction of the cost. It goes on smooth and doesn’t cake up at all, good for mature skin. The color matching is amazing.
