  • An ideal portable battery & solar generator! An ideal portable battery & solar generator!
Style: 300W
I own another similar 300wh "solar generator" or portable power bank, but this one by Allwei is SUPERIOR in several ways that really matter to me: (1) THINNER: It’s thinner than many other portable solar batteries out there; it’s shape allows fitting into tighter spaces. (2) DISPLAYS TIME & PERCENT REMAINING: In addition to displaying the watts being used, it also shows the actual estimated time remaining on the battery and the actual percentage of the battery’s charge that remains. This is a great improvement over other portable power banks in its class that takes the guess work out of determining how much longer the charge should last. (4) HIGH-DRAW USB PORTS: This Allwei battery features true 2.4amp plugs for usb quick charging and high capacity wattage draw from the usb plugs. Most usb devices only draw a few watts, but I have two USB-powered warmers used on camera and telescope lenses to keep dew from forming. One is 12 watts and the other 9 watts. With my other 300w solar generator, the wattage draw from these two warmers is too much through USB when they’re both plugged in — but they work together like a charm on the Allwei! I was able to consistently pull 21 watts through USB. This is a game changer for me since I was needing two separate batteries to run my warmers! (5) GREAT FLASHLIGHT PLACEMENT: The flashlight on the end of the device is perfectly placed! On many other solar generators they’re on the back, making it difficult to use when holding the generator by the handle. But the Allwei’s placement of the light on the end, makes it easy to light your path while holding the handle. It also has three levels of brightness. (6) RUBBER COVER OVER CAR PORT: There’s a nice rubber cover over the car charging port, a nice addition since I’ve had dirt and debris get down inside the plug on my other portable battery. (7) OVERLOAD PROTECTION WORKS: The device shows a fan icon when the fan kicks on due to high wattage draw, and the overload protection works; the device will shut down if you try to run continuously above 300w. I tested with my espresso machine (that I know peaks too high) and sure enough, the Allwei shut down as expected. (A restart is then required.) Also, it works well with solar panels (I tried charging it with my 80w panels and it took the charge well). The only potential downside I can see is that there isn’t a 24v output on the Allwei (but it can take up to 24v input). On the other hand, I have never run into a 24v device, but I know they’re popular with the RV crowd. Overall, the Allwei is one of the best portable battery banks / solar generators in its class, and is definitely worth the purchase. (As with ALL of these devices, however, I strongly urge you to purchase the 3-year protection warranty to protect your investment!) ... show more

  • Dependable, well-designed unit
Style: 300W
I've had the ALLWEI 300W portable power station for a few months now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I originally bought it for light outdoor use and emergency backup power, but recently put it to the test during an outdoor event where I needed to power a large Bluetooth loudspeaker for several hours. It handled the job effortlessly. The power station delivered consistent output and never once faltered. The loudspeaker ran smoothly the entire time without any drops, surges, or interruptions. Even after several hours of use, the battery still had plenty of juice left. I’ve also tested it with smaller electronics—phones, laptops, and a small fan—and it performed flawlessly every time. One of the most impressive aspects is how well it holds a charge. I fully charged it when I first received it and left it unused for a couple of months. When I checked it again, the battery level was still almost full—no noticeable drain at all. That level of standby reliability is a huge plus, especially if you're keeping it around for emergency use or spontaneous outdoor activities. The unit is compact and easy to carry, yet feels solid and well-built. The display is clear and informative, showing power input/output and remaining charge. The ports are well laid out, and there's a good selection of AC, DC, and USB options for different devices. The ALLWEI 300W power station is a dependable, well-designed unit that’s perfect for light to moderate power needs. Whether you're using it for events, camping, or as a backup power source at home, it performs exactly as advertised. Add to that its long standby time and clean, quiet operation, and it’s an easy 5/5 from me. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Good buy
Style: 300W
Use this pretty regularly on a renovation since there is no power to charge batteries, phone, lights. It's cheap purchase but good quality doing everything I need it to perform. The light works very well on it too barely using any power drain even on the highest setting

  • B+
Style: 300W
The old model is better but this works fine. It can power a house fan and tv in a short emergency and can be recharged in the car for longer emergency outages. It only has 1 reg outlet which I don’t love but you can use an extension cord or power strip which is what I did. The flashlight has multiple settings bright enough to see in a dark room with moving it around. They should have put a cap on the cigarette lighter part but prob only cost couple bucks to buy one I guess ... show more

Firstly the packaging is top notch with hard foam molded and contoured protection. The box and accessory boxes are totally reusable👍This thing has some heft to it! • Lives up to its promise. Lives up to its promise.
Style: 300W
I really like this power bank! So far, it has done everything it supposed to without hitch. After reading the negative reviews, I wasn’t confident, but it has come through with flying colors. Now, a few notes on those negative reviews: First off, keep in mind that all of these foreign made electronics have limited QA testing, which means there will be some failures that get through to the customer. And since you might be the unlucky one to get a lemon, the first thing to do when you get this is 1.) Read the instructions, and 2.) test it through some charge/discharge cycles to make sure it’s going to work properly. Don’t wait until the return window closes! I ran my unit through five (5) charge/discharge cycles running loads through ALL outlets and running the built-in light. It worked great. Many of the complaints center around the heat generated by the 120v power supply, and yes - my charging unit runs hot (around 130* F) as well. Since in only generates around 54 watts of power, this seems a bit warm. However, my extra switching power supply would charge it, but didn’t supply consistent power, so I stayed with the stock charger. Other than the heat, it works well. I’ve also charged it via the 12v automobile cord and a 100 w solar panel; all worked well. Someone also mentioned that they couldn’t get the unit to reset after tripping a failsafe and that the instructions don’t cover the process. Firstly, all you have to do is turn the affected output area off and on again, and yes… it is covered in the instructions. One other thing to note: 300 watts is NOT a lot of power! It won’t run a coffee maker or a blow dryer. Remember that the innocuous little outlet on your house wall is capable of giving you around 1500 watts. That’s 5 times more than this power bank will give, so don’t expect 300w to do a whole lot. The most you want to draw on the 120v outlets is 2-2.5 amps, so be careful what you plug in. Overall I’m very happy with this unit. I bought it to provide power to my roof top tent and be recharged by the tent’s solar panel. So far, it is doing well and at a good price. Will it fail to function next month? Maybe. But then so might my $50,000 car. Nothing is guaranteed. Five stars. ... show more

  • This Thing Really Rocks!
Style: 300W
I don't ever write reviews, but I'm stepping up to the plate for this ALLWEI Portable Power Station, 300W/Peak 600W Solar Generator 280Wh/78000mAh. I paid full price with a $15 coupon taken off at checkout. I have no relationship with the company, and I'm not being paid to write this review. I'm just impressed. I've used all sorts of power stations, and this one took the throne as my favorite, by far, in the under 500Wh category (and in this price point). It charges fast and can accept 80W of solar charging at its input (I use one 110W foldable panel). With that, I was able to reach 80W of charging at the input (all it will take). Here's what else I like about the ALLWEI: 1. It's a tank-like small package -- solid build all around. The rubber cover on the DC12V port is a nice touch, stays put, and is easy to remove and put back. The rubber feet and handle are also ergonomic and well placed. I've broken more flip down handles than I care to admit. That won't happen with this. There's no rattling whatsoever in this thing. 2. You can turn each section on and off independently, each with its own decent-quality button for AC, USB, DC1, and DC2. There's even a fifth button to turn the display on and off, which is great for sleeping, as well as not wasting any power toward the display when not needed. 3. It supports pass-through operation, meaning it can be charging and used to supply power at the same time. This works great. 4. It has a newer quick-charge USB-C port, and it actually works as advertised. I have other stations where that "advertised" port is underpowered. Not the case here. My power-hungry phone charges quickly (and reports it's charging rapidly) through that port. 5. The side light is very bright and has three very useable levels; from romantic-tent-dimming to lighting up a whole bedroom or workspace. It also has its own button on the side. It's difficult to see how great the light is in any videos I've seen, but it's a fully useable light. 6. It fits easily in a backpack (or even a small bookbag). 7. Everything seems to work to spec, which is impressive for a $250 device in this category. 8. The fan is super quiet and rarely ever comes on. The device doesn't seem to get hot to begin with, so whatever they did for a thermal solution functions well. 9. I've had it packed with multiple mixtures of devices, and it hasn't conked out. 10. It comes with decent-quality cable, as well as a car charger (haven't tried that yet). The AC wall charger is a solid brick and charges it fast. 11. The buttons never snag anything. They haven't yet accidentally turned on in transport. You have to deliberately press them, meaning they are somewhat sensitive to how long they are pressed. A super quick press doesn't turn them on. 12. The display looks great and shows entirely useful information, including time left. I'm happy to recommend this device. Time will tell how long it lasts, but I can see the automotive-quality battery going beyond 1000 cycles if cared for in a normal fashion. I've spent less for seemingly similar specs, but I'd spend more again on this item. The seemingly "similar specs" of other items rarely function well in concert together (or even as advertised). ALLWEI got it right with this. I'd never heard of them before stumbling on this product, but I will keep an eye on them for future offerings. For a very portable (around 6 lbs and teeny), well-built, inexpensive, fully-functioning power station, the ALLWEI seems hard to beat. I liked it so much, I bought a second one as a Christmas gift. It seems worth sharing. These would be great to have tucked around the house for care-free power outages, without everyone clamoring to use the same thing in the same space, so I might buy another. If I had an additional request from ALLWEI, I'd purchase a custom carry bag for this power station in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Good to have back up power
Style: 300W
I was excited to get this portable power station as I wanted to take it to Jamaica since hurricane Melissa left the island without power in most places and this is an awesome product for any home. I think it’s good, my only downside is that it cannot heat an iron. I tried it and yes it works a fan but plug an iron in and absolutely nothing and so I’m a bit disappointed because I thought it would work for basic needs but at least it can run a fan and phones. Haven’t tried anything else with this product yet so you won’t be getting iron clothes to wear from having this power station. ... show more
