  • Extreme to the Max!!
Color: Grey
So from what I can tell, what the price must be reflecting the most would be the, "industry-leading 2 inches of insulation," that allows for this ice chest to keep ice for up to 5 days. That and the bear locks. And the anti-slip goat feet pads, that apparently ensure the cooler is kept steady on rough terrain and also protects it from hot surfaces. There's also the dry goods basket and chopping board that are a nice touch, but the coolest thing is the two removeable re-freezable ice packs that are mounted under the cooler's lid. However... to bring this thing to where rough terrain is with it full of goods, might take a couple of bodybuilders. I was still going to give this 5 stars because I knew from the listing that it does NOT have wheels. But I've decided to take a star away, because at the time of this review, the listing didn't list the weight of the cooler anywhere. And then, down where it showed the weight of the package it was shown in kilograms, making it even more difficult for those of us in the west to know how much it weighs. Well, the package happens to weigh 37.74 pounds, so the cooler itself can't be much less than that. Considering that, take into account that it can supposedly hold up to 85 canned drinks. Which would add something close to 66 pounds of weight. So with the wight of this thing by itself along with probably the most weight you could put in it, you're looking at just over 100 pounds of weight. It would probably be a rare case for someone to put the maximum weight in this cooler but even still, it's going to be pretty heavy. Where I live though, we get beat with hurricanes pretty often, and if I would have had this cooler a couple of years ago when my power and the power all around me for miles was out for a week, I would have been able to save some of the things in my refrigerator. Hopefully I don't need to use it for that anytime soon, but this cooler will definitely be great for preparing for a storm that's coming. ... show more

  • Portable hard cooler
Color: Grey
This cooler is nice and sturdy, includes two ice packs that screw into the top lid, a basket that keeps things dry, and a cutting board that also acts as a divider (although not a water proof one). We put the two ice packs in the top (frozen), and added two large ice packs of our own. We put it in the back of our vehicle and then went out and about. The vehicle was parked in the sun in our hot environment for at least 3 hours. When we finally went shopping and wanted to put cold stuff in the cooler, it was still cold inside. The two ice packs that we had put in were still rock hard. So it keeps its cool. The downside that we found is that when it has food and ice in it, it gets really heavy. Like, needs either a really muscular person to move it, or two people. I wish it had wheels and a long handle. But, the clips on the top would keep out animals, and the seal on the lid is great. Sturdy enough to be a seat for a regular sized person. ... show more

  • By far the heaviest ice chest I own. But, it kept ice for 3 days.
Color: Black
I have 4 ice chests. This is definitely the heaviest ice chest I own. Weighing in at around 32 lbs. empty, this is no lightweight. The ice chest looks nice. The black and orange is an attention getter. It is a far cry from the average looking white lid coolers. The manufacturer claims the cooler has the most insulation of any cooler. This along with the silicone gasket, and the ability to secure the lid by latches keeps the cold air inside the cooler. The manufacturer claims that the cooler will keep ice in it for 5 days. I decided to test this. Their suggestion is to pre-cool the cooler by putting ice in it overnight, emptying the ice, and then placing new ice into the cooler. I have never heard of "pre-cooling" an ice chest, so I just dumped 16 lbs of ice into the cooler, froze the blue ice, and placed the cooler outside. So. Cal temps right now are between 95-105 this week (Santa Clarita Valley). I placed the cooler under our patio, so it gets shade until about 1:00 PM, and then full sun until sunset. I opened the cooler only once per day to see how the ice was doing, and I did not drain any of the cold water. The ice lasted for 3 days. After 24 hours, about a third of the ice was gone. After 48 hours, maybe a third of the ice was left with about 2" of ice cold water. Then by the end of the third day there was just a couple of cubes left, but the water was still cold.. For just having one 16 lbs bag of ice poured into the cooler, I was impressed at how long the ice lasted. I could have place two more bags in the cooler, which would have made the ice last longer and dropped the temperature in the cooler. It is a nice cooler, the best I own. The accessories are nice, but are not a reason to purchase the cooler. The cooler is designed to compete with other high end brands, and it works well. ... show more

  • Amazing
Color: Grey
I have 3 big name ice chests from three well known manufacturers. But, you can never have too many ice chests! With that said, I ordered this one. This cooler is bulletproof. It is extremely well constructed, very heavy duty, and there has been a lot of attention to detail. It is heavy, but comparable to my other high end coolers (that are smaller). The performance surpasses those other high end coolers as well, keeping the contents cold for hours in the Texas heat. Finally, the built in bottle opener, cutting board, and dry basket (additional charges/ options on my other high end coolers) are a very nice addition. I can't say enough about the cooler. I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Great durable cooler
Color: Grey
I got this cooler for my many camping trips. I needed a cooler that was strong and durable and kept my food cold for a few days without constantly replacing the ice. This cooler is all that and more. This cooler can hold quite a bit of stuff. I was able to get a week's worth of food in here! It came with 2 re-freezable ice packs and a special compartment on the lid that they slide into. There is also a removable tray to hep keep things organized. Now you have to keep in mind this cooler is fairly heavy before you add anything to it. It would be nice if they added wheels to make it easier to transport. But overall I am very happy with this cooler. ... show more

  • Heavy and Durable
Color: Black
This cooler is a big boy! I really don't know how else to describe it. When it's empty, it was a challenge to lift, but I am also pretty short, and the cooler is half my size. It comes with everything you need for a camping trip. The only disappointment about this item is that for the price, I feel like wheels should of been included. Especially since its so heavy. I would say 40-50 lbs. It's about 32 lbs. I get why there are no wheels, as it's directed to be extremely durable and anti slip, the anti bear locks and all - but they fail to mention just how heavy it is. I can only imagine how heavy it would be with everything inside of it. I needed my husband to help me carry it to the garage! I get that this might be a first world problem and taking my stature into consideration, I am sure a larger man would have minimal issues, but bring a buddy to help carry this big boy! Other than that, this is great option for camping or trips (if you're fit). ... show more

  • Great At Keeping Things Cold
Color: Grey
There are quite a few things I love about this cooler. It is roomy and can fit everything we need for several days of camping. It does an amazing job keeping everything cold. I love that it comes with two screw on reusable ice. A cool feature I've never seen in any of the coolers I've owned is the divider is actually a cutting board which really helps with food prep. I also love the basket that I can put fruit and veggies in or sandwiches that I don't want smashed. The latches on this cooler are amazing and keep it air tight so the ice really lasts several days. The handles seem durable so far. The biggest thing I don't like about this cooler is that it's quite large and heavy. There is no way I could lift it by myself if I were to fill it up with the amount of soda that could fit in this. Plus it takes a lot of room in my car that we usually take camping. It's better suited for longer trips and I will stick to my smaller cooler for weekend trips. Pros *Keeps things cold for days *Reusable ice included and attaches to lid *Comes with cutting board and basket *Large capacity *Great latches *Durable handles Cons *Heavy *Bulky ... show more

  • Great cooler!
Color: Grey
This comparable to any Y brand cooler. It's heavy duty. It keeps ice for days. Drinks stay cold a long time. The handles are removeable if you want to do that. The corner has metal to protect it and also works are a bottle opener. The drain is a good size so it's not draining for hours when you want to do that. Comes with a cutting board divider and a basket that sits on top. Nice touches. Also has 2 removeable flat reusable ice packs that thumb screw into the lid. One complaint is the locks. They don't stay up when you open it. They flop down and when you lower the lid they are now under the lid so it doesn't close all the way. If you pay attention to that it's not a big deal but for everyone using it they just drop the lid and walk away leaving it open about 1/2". It's also heavy. Empty it weights about 20lbs. Add in 15lbs of ice and 3 cases of drinks and you're around 50lbs. I hope they have a wheel kit available to make moving it easier. The lid locks work well when it's closed. They just need to fix it so they stay open. ... show more

  • Stays cold
Color: Grey
Put just a little bit of ice in the cooler just to see how long it would stay cold. It was close to 90°, it was a slab of ice so not just cubes, it still had ice in it after two days of sitting outside on the patio. The third day the melted ice was still very cold. The locks are nice because they have a hard plastic handle so it is much easier to lock verses an all rubber design. It has holes on the two front corners to put a lock on it. It has hard sides and top, there is definitely no flexing of sides or lid if you were to sit on it or stack something heavy on it. Only issue I have with it is that it seals itself up tight, I'm assuming from the cold inside and heat outside, had to really yank on it to force it open. ... show more

  • Stays cold...but VERY heavy
Color: Grey
I am pleased with this cooler for its ability to keep things COLD. The tight latches , thick construction and sealing gasket do a great job of keeping the cold IN and the heat of day OUT...but it is HEAVY. It weighs around 35 pounds EMPTY. Add in the fact that it lacks wheels, and you might want to think carefully about how much you put in there at one time...OR always bring your best guy friend that is into weightlifting? ... show more

  • Dropped the price by $140 since I ordered. Originally $360
Color: Grey
Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice cooler. It’s just as good as any of the other options that are out there. I especially like that it comes with all the extra pieces and features you have to order separately from most other brands. When I ordered this they had it listed at $360 so my review is off of that which is way overpriced. It doesn’t mean it’s any less of a cooler because it’s great. It just means they finally came to their senses. The only real downside of this cooler is the weight. It’s super heavy and wouldn’t be fun to move around camping. I mean maybe a bear would leave it alone because it wouldn’t move when it tried to get in it so there’s that. At its current price of $215 it’s a steal. It’s on sale so don’t hesitate if you’re interested. ... show more

  • Kept things organized and cool kind of
Color: Grey
I have taken this in a few day trips and wasn't as impressed with how long the ice didn't last. This cooler is heavy duty, the walls and lid are SOLID/thick & that makes the cooler all on it's own heavy to begin with add in the screw in ice packs and ice and the weight is a two person lift. The inside of the cooler is set up to provide you really great organization the included cutting board acts like a divider just know as the ice melts it will flow to that other side, I figured this would happen so I planned accordingly. The items in my cooler stayed cold in a day trip through multiple elevations and 100 degree weather outside- BUT the cooler was left in the back of an SUV and had maybe a few hours of being left in the SUV with the AC and at the end of a 12hr drive the 5lbs of ice was pretty much melted, what wasn't I left just to see how long it would last, by morning when I checked the ice was all melted (the cooler was left in my air-conditionined home) For me this was a bust especially with such a high price point. We shall ran into the issue of the cooler vapor locking and it took two to get it open a few times-i blame the altitude changes. ... show more

  • Awesome cooler, VERY heavy
Color: Grey
Exceptional cooler, the built-in ice packs are really cool and the addition of the cutting board divider is pretty clever. It holds the cold in for a really long time. Ice is still in there from a party on Friday and it's Tuesday. The real downside is the weight, empty it's very heavy and when filled it's nearly impossible to move by myself because of how heavy it is. ... show more

Color: Grey
I love this coolers design. It’s like a mini deep freezer. We love the extra cutting board included And the ice packs that mounts onto the lid are another cool feature. Overall this cooler is great, but when it’s packed with ice and food it can get pretty heavy. So it would be nice if the cooler came with wheels. ... show more
