I live in the Midwest and have a lot of leaves to rake and move in the fall. I use this for a normal painting drop cloth, but also for raking all the leaves into the drop cloth hall into the woods. Heavy duty is perfect for my needs. You can buy with confidence.

If you are looking for the old-timey, tightly woven canvas dropcloth for protecting your floors and/or furniture while painting -- especially if you are a messy painter -- you may want to give this a pass. 3 stars for its intended use. I would give this 5 stars, however, as yardage or for draping items in storage. Good size options at the right price. The material isn't flimsy. I like the color, too. So, rather than it having to make the journey back to an Amazon warehouse, it will be repurposed as fabric for slip covers. Now, to resume the hunt for a decent canvas drop cloth...

I purchased this drop-cloth because it was a a lot less expensive than purchasing canvas fabric! It isn’t stiff and makes lovely tote bags that are stronger than simple fabric totes. Combing with a lovely fabric, the canvas can be dressed up to be cuter for grocery shopping, etc.
