We upgraded from an earlier generation after many years of use. This is the same excellent quality tablet just with a bigger screen with better resolution. I have my own laptop, but the kiddo is in love with her new device. The Amazon Kids subscription that's included has some great games she's been enjoying, and it's been very easy to set up all the content and parental controls. The case is extremely durable and having the 2 year warranty is a great peace of mind. Being able to switch to a parent profile to use in a pinch is also a plus. Getting the Disney Princess Edition and pairing it with a similar protective case is a real winner for a special occasion!

I bought this Amazon Fire Tablet for my 4-year-old, and it’s been fantastic. The screen is clear, the touch response is smooth, and the parental controls make it easy to keep content age-appropriate. It runs kids’ apps and shows without lag, and the battery lasts long enough for road trips or quiet time at home. It’s sturdy enough to handle little hands, and the case offers great protection. We bought this tablet with the blue case for our son and he loved it so much and it was so perfect we decided to get the pink one for our daughter. The fact that you can get a replacement if your child breaks it really makes it more than worth it. Our son broke his screen a few months after we got it and getting a replacement was so simple and quick! You have to use the Amazon kids subscription to make it the best but it comes with a year subscription and it’s only like $50 for a year and you only need one subscription for up to 4 kids I think is what it said. It’s not heavy and we haven’t had any issues with it working correctly or anything. I wish there was a little more storage but that’s an easy fix with an added memory card. The tablet doesn’t lag and is actually pretty fast which is good because kids are not patient! They are very durable tablets and the cases are amazing! This is the best kids tablet, in my opinion, for many reasons but the replacements of your child breaks their tablet is really what sold me because kids are so accident prone and almost always end up breaking at least one screen. The only downside is that when we did get a replacement, I made sure I followed the steps to back up my sons old tablet before we switched to the new one, but none of his game progress was saved on any of his games. The only thing that transferred were things we paid money for. He’s still little so it didn’t matter too much to him but if you have an older child that’s something to keep in mind! I know the help center said that it depends on the game developer too and how you’re signed into the game and whether it will transfer or not. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints about this tablet and absolutely love it for our 2 little ones. I probably wouldn’t get this tablet for our older 11 year old son, but for younger kids it’s perfect!

My 2 almost 3 year old grandson has hearing loss and still adjusting to wearing his hearing aids so I needed something that has good sound quality, his last tablet he could not hear because the volume was terrible. This tablet has been perfect. He absolutely loves it! Easy for him to use and navigate to play the learning games his speech therapist recommended us getting since he is behind in learning to speak due to his hearing loss. Good quality, sound and picture. Plenty of storage for what we need. Would recommend if you want a good tablet without breaking the bank!

I bought this tablet as an upgrade for my 2 year old son. I had previously had a cheap $50 tablet that was similar but the sound quality was bad and unfortunately my toddler was too rough with the charging port and it broke. So I bought this thinking that I would be able to easily access my son's favorite app, Youtube Kids. This will be my biggest negative for this tablet, as apparently it does not give the option to download that as an app unless you do a whole complicated workaround by downloading the Google Play store. My complaint aside, the tablet works well and is fast, has no lag and I am please with how quick it took to set up, the customization and apps available are great! The display is clear and crisp with good brightness and nighttime/daytime settings, and the size is perfect for my son to hold in his hands or stand on the table. The sound quality is good and I feel as if I don't need to get anything to enhance it.
