Finding a comprehensive paint set that is truly formulated for scale models is critically important, especially when using an airbrush. This is dedicated hobby paint—not hardware-store spray paint repackaged for model use—and the results are undeniably impressive. The set arrives neatly organized with a highly useful assortment of standard colors, metallics and two bottles of acrylic thinner. The 20ml dropper bottles are generously sized, easy to control and fit perfectly into my existing paint rack. The color selection is broad enough for model cars, military vehicles, aircraft, miniatures, Gundam kits, scenery and countless other hobby applications. I use the professional Grex Tritium TG5 airbrush. With the included thinner, it's smooth, even and produces excellent coverage. The finish leveled out beautifully without appearing excessively thick or obscuring the fine molded details. The colors are vibrant, the metallic shades have a convincing appearance and the dried finish looks every bit like legitimate model-grade paint. I have used the major hobby brands for years, including Mr. Hobby, Tamiya and Vallejo. These paints have been sitting in a warehouse for a while. Pigment had settled and required vigorous shaking to mix. Then I found that every bottle I've tried so far has a completely gumed up tip. To use the paints, I've had to pry the tips off and clean them with a needle to get the congealed paint out.

Tackling the moles and gophers in the backyard used to be a full-time battle every spring. No matter how much I manicured the grass, it would always end up looking like a war zone of holes and tunnels, which was just exhausting for the whole family. I really didn’t want to go the route of harsh chemicals or traps, especially with the pets and the kids constantly running around the yard, so I gave this solar repellent a shot. The coverage on this thing is impressive for a yard our size. Installation was basically just "stick it in the ground and forget it," which I love. It uses these subtle vibrations that seem to be exactly what the critters hate, because we saw the tunnel activity drop off significantly in just about a week. An unexpected bonus is the LED light—it’s not just there for function; it adds this really nice, soft ambient glow to the garden at night when we’re out on the patio. It’s been great to watch the cat try to chase the little light trails, though it doesn't bother the wildlife, just the pests. The solar power has been solid, too—even through a few gloomy, cloudy days, it’s kept running without a hitch. If I have one minor suggestion, it’d be to add a handle or a better grip on top. Since it’s a pretty beefy unit, pulling it out of the dirt to mow the lawn or reposition it can be a bit of a workout. But honestly, that’s a small price to pay for a lawn that doesn't look like a construction site.

To be up front, I've been using miniature paints since completing a full paint set of the original partha paints back around 90 or 91. They had 24 colors back then. This is a pretty nice set, but follows the same rules as other acrylic mini paints, you absolutely must base coat your mini with primer first. I used entirely the new paint for a black wash, dry brushing mail, highlighting, and toning out everything cloth,flesh,and metal. And overall, I'll give the set itself a 7/10 the quality is there, could use a couple more base colors you don't have to mix down yourself and maybe an extra empty bottle or jar to store a personal mix so you can consistently match back a full squad over time. While I do rate the actual paint and collection duration as a 7/10, the price point definitely makes this a 5 star purchase as putting together your own from slightly better paint will cost you double this, and honestly this is entirely good enough for top notch work.

The paints were leaking they are not sealed. Fortunately the paint was dry when I received it. These don't have mixing balls in the bottle. It would have been a great value if they weren't leaking. Very poor quality.

Received the paint today, fast delivery. Only complaint is about 7 of the paint bottles the seal was cracked and about a third of those were drained. The whole inside of the box was full of dried paint. Appears to me that these were stored somewhere hot which caused the bottles to expand. Still usable though. No pictures to show as my son was quick to open and clean everything up! I will be keeping them as my kid is excited to paint his models!
