This is a great board for the price. The super thin wires are buried in the bristles, and have greatly reduced bounce-outs. On my old bristle board, with raised wire, we would get bounce outs all the time. Over time, the wire would start to dent, protrude, etc, only causing more bounce outs. I dont think I have had a single bounce out on this board due to the wire. Even if it hits the wire, the wire is so thin the dart just slides right off of it and sticks anyways. The only possible wire that might cause a bounce out is the one surrounding the inner bull. But, I have yet to hit it and result in a bounce out. Great board for the price. Looks great. Great quality. Will reduce wear and tear on tips, shafts, and flights, because you have no bounce outs. Overall a time saver, money saver, safer to throw at, and great board. ... show more

A friend brought this board in to work for down time, as it had been collecting dust in his house. Immediately, lunch time turned into quick rounds of cricket, and then everyone started to show up with their own darts. Not to be outdone, I purchased this board for my home use. This is probably one of the best boards I have played on, rivaling Winmau and Unicorn. Seriously. Ours at work still looks new, it heals incredibly, and there are little to no bounce outs. Definitely look into a wall protection unit, I went with a Viper. If you are on the fence about this one, you can now get down and start throwing. It's worth every penny. ... show more

This is one of the best boards out on the market for the price! I have been throwing on one of these boards for the last 4.5 years. I love the ultra low profile wires. I love how the wires are actually tapered so it minimizes bounce offs. It is a smooth board. The last one I we had at work was used at work for 2 years and I'm not exaggerating, it probably had 25 games played on it a day and it lasted 2 years before it was shot. I won't buy any other board. If I made a living throwing darts I might have another point of view. But for my amateur status this will do more than work. ... show more

    • Tightly packed bristles
This dartboard feels very high quality. The bristles seem to be unaffected by the darts once you've pulled them out. The mounting system is easy to set up as well.

Had a Blade IV and loved it but I wore out the bull after a couple of years and decided to try something different. Read a lot of reviews and decided on the Alien. I really like the mounting system on this one even though it's plastic. Really dense sisal and the wires are thinner than the Blade IV. Threw my first 500 with only one bounce out (center ring). I have been using these boards for years, but the bulls eye was messed up on this last one I got. The green in the bull was not flat and had like a wrinkle in it. It might have been ok, but if I am going to spend this much on a board I expect it to perfect. I sent it back for an exchange and hopefully the next one will be better. ... show more

    • Alien boards are not what they use to be.
Bought these boards multiple times in the past and always been perfect. This time around the board had holes in the bristle near the wires. Sent this back and reordered. Next board bristles weren’t as bad but still had holes and the 3 leveling knobs in the back were not in the box. But tired of the return process, I rigged the rear levels and made due. I like how thin the spider is. This board seems very very durable and appears it will last a long time. Very stiff at first. Once 6ou put some time into it it's no issue. Mounting system is not very sturdy. Board rotates easily and wobbles. This is a good board but money would be better spent on a blade 5 non dual core. ... show more
