    • Lovely gift. High quality and classic design

Beautiful classic corkscrew. Brilliant gift. Very high quality and will no doubt last a lifetime

    • Updated today,...Update, ... this corkscrew has been used for almost 5 months. It deserves 5 stars. It is perfect !
Color: Black
I received one of these as a gift about 12 years ago. It wore out about 2 years ago. I have had at least 6-7 various wine pullers since then. None of them lasted several weeks to a few months. I was willing to spend a few bucks to get something of decent quality. No such luck. There is a dearth of good quality corkscrews at a reasonable price out there ( for me that's $ 12 to $ 40 ) I had a hard time finding this, even on AMZN. I had to google "Wine Lady" before I found this. I was a bit suspicious based on some of the reviews indicating that the newer versions are not as high quality. My 4 star rating is based on apparent build quality and, the fact that I have not used it yet! It seems to be great and just like the one I wore out pulling out a zillion corks. I hope to upgrade this to 5 Stars after I use it for a month of so. ... show more

    • Most stylish corkscrew
Color: Black
Review Image by Cut and Run
To be honest, I use this corkscrew more for display than opening bottles. I bought my first one (yellow) at Printemps in Paris about 25 years ago. I was taken by the design and had never seen its like in the US. Now you can easily get one on Amazon. As an opener, it’s just ok. The size of the opening to the screw limits it to standard bottles. But for aesthetics, it’s a 10. ... show more

    • Large but adorable
Color: Black
Adorable and I am sure it would work fine. But it is really too BIG for my needs so I returned it. May reorder in the red as I really loved it. If you have a bar or counter to display it, maybe the huge size wouldn’t be a prob. But I would have stored in drawer. All Alessi products are top notch and beautifully designed. This whimsical piece is no acception to that quality and design. ... show more

    • Durable Corkscrew
A good corkscrew that makes it easy to get a cork out of a bottle of wine. This is the second one I've purchased and they do last longer than most other corkscrews. However, this particular corkscrew doesn't allow for easy removal of the cork from the corkscrew after extracting the cork from the bottle. The stainless steel model is much better in that respect. ... show more

    • A conversation piece!
I purchased this for a friend as I already have one. It's very simple, compared to some of the other wine openers in the drawer! It works very well and everyone thinks its fun. It is a great "bread and butter" gift.

    • The Alessi Corkscrew was a huge disappointment. It did not release the corkscrew as it ...
Color: Blue
The Alessi Corkscrew was a huge disappointment. It did not release the corkscrew as it should have after the bottle of wine was opened. I had to use pliers to remove the corkscrew from its body. I was actually really excited to purchase it because years ago I received one as a gift. It had a sentimental value attached to it. Well, someone opening a bottle of wine for me didn't know how it worked and broke it. When I discovered I could purchase the very same corkscrew I received many years ago, I was really, really happy. But, the new Alessi corkscrew was defective and did not function as my original one. Maybe I got one that should not have passed quality assurance, but it was a huge disappointment and I returned it. When I returned it, I sent a letter to Alessi and explained what happened. Not a word back. Customer service is non-existent. The only good news is that if you take a chance and purchase it and then need pliers to dig and remove the cork from the channel (body), you can return it. ... show more

    • Fun to look at but tricky to use.
Color: Green
I love the way this looks on my bar cart but it takes some practice to use. It doesn’t work exactly like similar corkscrews so read the directions!! I know that sounds ridiculous given that it’s a corkscrew but until I read them I was considering sending it back. After a few tries it works just fine. ... show more
