I've been using this for years, and really like it for my face. Two years ago I developed folliculitis on my scalp. For those of you unfamiliar with this ailment, it is like 100 mosquito bites on your scalp at a time with a creepy crawly feeling to boot. My dermatologist prescribed Clindamycin solution, of course. It helped a little sometimes, but not for long. Recently I thought to myself, well, if this Acnedote works for my face, and folliculitis is a type of acne, maybe....? I made myself a shampoo consisting of 4 parts Acnedote and 1 part 90ppm colloidal silver solution. I am not lying - I shampooed my hair with the solution, and experienced the first real relief in TWO YEARS! I use it once a week, and have been shampooing with it for about 6 weeks. The folliculitis is not completely cleared up yet, but last week I had SEVEN FULL DAYS of relief from the itching. Plus, the little whiteheads (I don't know what to call them) are much smaller and don't itch nearly as much when they do come up, which is 75% fewer, I'd say, than before using my shampoo concoction. My hair is long, and there is no damage whatever to my hair. I make sure that I get the "shampoo" on every inch of my head, and then leave it on for 5 minutes. You won't get as much suds as you are used to, but the results are incredible, at least for me. I sure hope that someone who needs this information will find it, and that it will help them as much as it has helped me! This is my favorite scrub for getting rid of stubborn body acne. I always keep a tube in my shower. I love the slightly herby peppermint scent (but without the drawbacks of some other peppermint body care items. If you know, you know!) I also have KP on my upper arms and the salicylic acid and scrubby-ness really help to keep it under control. It’s also great for areas that are prone to ingrown hairs. I will use it on my face every once in awhile but I personally feel that it is too abrasive for everyday facial use. If I had sensitive skin I definitely wouldn’t use this on my face. ... show more
