AMAZING. That really could be the whole review right there. Helped me with dry scalp/dandruff, is gentle, leaves me clean and smelling good, doesn't dry out my hair, and the bottle is huge but affordable! Sometimes I also use it as body wash. I was using Shea moisture hair care stuff before this brand and even tried the Shea moisture black soap line, but it does not compare at all. I switched back to this, throwing the SM bottle away before I'd even finished it! It's become a staple for me. Have not tried the conditioner tho. This is my 2nd purchase. I bought this based on someone on SM who has similar skin condition as my son. So far so good in regards to the horrible dry scalp & skin my 15 year old son has suffered from since he was a baby. The tea tree and eucalyptus scents are noticeable/ not offensive and seems to be the reason along with the black soap as to why I feel it works best for my son's skin type. Despite it being dark from the African black soap, it will rinse out of your wash clothe. I use white wash clothes and it rinses out very well leaving no dark residue on the wash clothe. . It is concentrated, which I like. This is based on my opinion. I will continue to buy this product. If you enjoy castille soap like I do then you’ll really like this product. One review stated it’s thicker and it is but not by much. I prefer this texture over castille soap. This soap is more moisturizing than your traditional castille soap. My only issue is the smell. It is not tangerine it is lemongrass. I actually love lemongrass scent I’m not too concerned but it is extremely strong. I mean it smells like a whole bottle of it was dumped into this. So it more on the multipurpose cleaner side of smell. I gave it 4 stars due to the smell. But for now I really like it and use it mainly in the bath ... show more

I've been using the peppermint version of this soap for a few years now. I like how it feels, it has a mild scent, and it doesn't irritate my skin or dry it out. I have had a hard time finding soaps that meet those criteria (especially the scent: I don't like strong smells), so I've been sticking with this one. It takes a bit more soap to clean my whole body than other soaps, but I always thought it was worth it for the quality. However, I have had a consistent problem with the bottles arriving with the cap lid cracked or, in the case of the one that just came today, completely broken. There is no seal under the cap and the lid is very thin and fragile. The cracks in the lid are always similar to those shown in the pictures. These usually ship to me from an Amazon warehouse, so the poor packing for shipping that allows the fragile cap to crack is on them, but the bottle cap being fragile in the first place is on the manufacturer. I'm assuming the manufacturer knows that this packaging isn't up to snuff, because the bottles I've gotten in the past year or so have all had tape attached from the lid to the bottle to keep them closed during shipping. This usually keeps leakage to a minimum. Usually... Having to wash a puddle of soap off of my porch and now needing to clean up this mess of a container so I can take it to UPS for return is the final straw for me. When this stuff gets bottled with a cap that can survive shipping better, I'll be interested in buying it again. Until then, I've found a bar soap that I like well enough. (I didn't post the picture of the soap puddle on the porch because the shipping label was visible. My bad. It was quite the sight. Also: this box was packed with the bottle on the bottom, as shown, with a strip of those air pillows on top to fill the space. There was no cushioning between the product and the bottom of the shipping box.) ... show more

I love the eucalyptus and tea tree scent, it smells like real essential oils. This soap is thick and silky. Tea tree and eucalyptus are both supposed to fight germs so I really love this during the winter months.
