    • Green Irish Tweed for a fraction of the Price!
I'm a huge fan of "green/fresh" colognes, and of course one of my signature scents is Green Irish Tweed by Creed. Al Haramain's Amber Oud Carbon Edition probably comes in at the closest clone you can get at a fraction of the price. So I kinda wanted this for a "more than special occasion" wear cycle without burning through my GIT too fast. Top notes are Bergamot, Lavender and Rosemary; middle notes are Sea Notes, Geranium and Sage; base notes are Moss, Vetiver, Amber and Cedar. For me I get the sharpness of the Rosemary and really strong Lavender before any of the citrus notes of Bergamot, with Geranium and Vetiver at the dry down doing all the heavy lifting throughout the day. The Amber is there giving it a richness behind the scenes and the Cedar is pronounced but not overpowering. Also, by day I mean ALL DAY. It lasts forever. Easily a 12 plus hour men's cologne. A little goes a long way gentlemen. One might say that Green Irish Tweed has a "smoother and more complex" scent profile....but I think if somebody goes fairly modest on the application...Carbon Edition can be an incredible substitute. That being said, this is an "Arabian blend" so potency, projection, and sillage are really pronounced. Apply wisely boys! I got the 6.7oz (200ml) and it will more than likely last me years to come, even with routine wear. It also came with a travel size so that was a nice bonus. Definitely don't want to lug 6+ ounces of fragrance will traveling. Price point can't be beat for a GIT substitute. ... show more

Love this cologne. My wife had given me one over a year ago and it's now gone, so we bought another one. It comes in a really nice box that includes an empty travel size atomizer, which I filled and keep in my laptop backpack for the office. This makes a nice gift.
