Features
- Supports Skill Progression & Authentic Touch Training: Equipped with an 88-key graduated hammer action keyboard, it delivers a highly realistic acoustic piano touch. Each key provides solid, forceful resistance when pressed, rather than a light, floaty feel. The clear tactile feedback as the keys fall perfectly simulates the striking sensation of an acoustic piano. The high precision velocity sensing system produces a soft tone from a light touch and a loud, full sound from a forceful strike. Sensitive key rebound ensures smoothness when playing fast passages and practicing rapid finger movements. It helps maintain a natural touch, laying a solid foundation for your musical skills.
- Immersive & Powerful Speaker Performance: Piano equipped with dual 25W independent left-right speakers for wide-spread sound that fills your whole room. Generous power headroom delivers punchy response for heavy chords and loud passages with solid deep-bass performance, while distortion remains minimal even at higher volume levels. Rich, atmospheric piano tone is reproduced whether you play softly or with powerful expression. The elevated cabinet increases the sealed speaker-chamber volume for enhanced acoustic resonance, positioning the speakers at ear-height when you are seated to play. This yields deeper bass and clearer high-frequency details for a full-bodied, immersive audio experience.

- Late-Night Practice Mode: Connecting headphones isolates you from external environmental interference, avoiding ambient noise and room reflections, faithfully reproducing the details of the piano sound source. The pedal resonance and the nuanced variations in key pressure provide a pure and focused practice experience without disturbing your family's rest. An upgraded 12V 2A soft, eye friendly light strip is perfect for night time practice. It also works as a built in fill light when you record performance videos, boosting atmosphere and video quality. Enjoy fully immersed, stress free playing on your full size 88-key keyboard long after sunset.
- A Realistic and Natural Piano Tone: Our upright digital piano the LS02Pro, uses the Dream chip from France, and expands its sampling memory, like a larger warehouse, storing the rich acoustic details of a grand piano without compressing or deleting subtle sound effects.Paired with a DSP processing chip, it's like a powerful sonic brain. Whether playing lightly or heavily, pressing the pedal or playing complex chords, all kinds of sonic details are processed in real time. The tonal layers and pedal changes are clearly discernible; chords don't blend together; highs are clear and transparent, lows are rich and full, and the sound is closer to that of an acoustic piano.

Great digital piano that sounds like an upright acoustic piano! Very heavy substantial furniture piece that looks beautiful in our home, yet is also compact and space saving. Assembly requires a bit of puzzle-solving, but it was fairly easy to build. Sometimes, we had to pierce the walnut veneer to access the pre-drilled hole, but that was not a problem for us to figure out. Suggest the manufacturer could make the built-in light much brighter and dimmable. Currently the light is ambient and decorative, but is already an added feature that most other manufacturers dont offer. So I counted it as a bonus add-on. Highly recommend this beautiful piece if you are looking for a digital piano. It costs slightly more than some other models and styles in the market, but the sound and build quality are fantastic.

UPDATED 2/28: The short version: This is a beautiful piano with a great build quality that surpasses significantly more expensive options in its class. The asterisk: I wasn’t able to get the MIDI to work. The long version: I originally was going to buy the Donner DDP-80 since it had more reviews and was relatively well documented on Youtube. This particular model (LS01 Air / Pro) didn't have many reviews on Amazon, and none on Youtube, so it felt like a bit of a risk. BUT, at least in product photos, the Walnut color of the Aklot looked warmer and more like actual wood, so I ordered both pianos to compare side by side and crossed my fingers that the Aklot sounded roughly as good. To my surprise, the build quality is genuinely very impressive for the price. In person, it looks far more like real wood than the product photos suggest. The finish is really nice; it is more convincing than the Donner DDP-80, which is often recommended in this "minimalist furniture-like piano" category. The wood tone and texture feel less synthetic. The weighted key action is also surprisingly good. It feels balanced and responsive. Compared directly to the Donner, I actually prefer the action here. It has better weight distribution and feels more natural to me, and it's a bit easier to play quicker passages. The weight is similar to the Donner, just a little less "mushy" and more springy would be the best way I can think of to describe it. At the time I purchased this, it cost less than the DDP 80, so that came as a surprise. They've also done a really great job with some of the details. The triple pedal enclosure of the LP-01 Air is laminated with wood and matches the surface of the piano. On the other hand, the Donner DDP 80's triple pedal system is just brown metal that is a close-ish match to the color of the piano. Not a major concern by any means, but if you're picky it's worth noting that the DDP-80 doesn't look like true matched set. Another little detail I appreciate is that the sides (left/right) of this Aklot don't have visible screws. It's smooth. The DDP-80 had two screws on each side that made it feel a little less polished in terms of build quality. Build quality: Impressive and significantly better than this piano’s price would suggest. Hands down, I prefer it over the (more expensive) Donner DDP-80 and I think the key action isn't too far from some entry/mid range brand name digital pianos I tested at Guitar Center. Sound quality: The built-in tones are definitely better than the digital pianos I grew up with. I think for most people who haven't had much exposure to acoustic pianos or high end digitals, the “Classical” voice/mode will sound convincing and not overly artificial. The other voices are not as convincing, but fun to play around with. That said, I think the Donner DDP-80 sounds a bit more clear/realistic and has better speakers. Also, the bottom speakers of the Aklot LS01-Air are exposed (no fabric or metal mesh to protect them). Unfortunately, the first LS01 I purchased came with a buzzing right speaker, and I suspect that the lack of protection could be the reason for this. Thankfully I was sent a replacement unit with no questions asked, and the speaker of the second one was fine. Now, if you are new to the world of digital pianos, here’s the good news: key action (which is genuinely great for this piano) is arguably the most important aspect because it is the only thing that can’t be changed/augmented. Meh speakers aren’t the end of the world, because it’s easy to plug in nice headphones or external speakers. In fact, even higher-end Yamahas, Rolands, Casios etc. don’t have very good speakers and audiophiles just go in with the expectation of using an external audio system. Sound engine / piano sampling is also not as important as you might expect. As long as you can connect a keyboard to your computer via MIDI, you can take advantage of some pretty fantastic free VSTs (virtual instruments) that completely transform the sound of the piano. So, if you are on a budget and want to max the bang you get for your buck, this is what I recommend: A piano you like the look of with a great key action + high quality external speakers/headphones (which you may already have) + MIDI cable ($10) + VST (free options available) = a pretty darn great setup. Now, unfortunately, I was not able to get the USB MIDI for this piano to work with my computer, even with some extensive troubleshooting. I suspect that there is some issue with the chip of the piano I received. I’ve talked to Aklot’s customer service, who seems to be taking this pretty seriously and has told me they are inspecting the units that they currently have in their warehouse. Because of this, I’m truly torn on whether to give this piano 4 or 5 stars. On the one hand, the build quality and mechanics are so much better than anything I’ve seen at this price point that I would give those aspects MORE than five stars if I could. But the MIDI not working is a real bummer. It may not be a huge deal for casual players, but it was for me. **The reason for my review update** As mentioned, the first LS-01 Air that shipped to me had a buzzing right speaker and a MIDI that didn’t work, and when I reached out to customer service I didn’t hear back for several days. Eventually, their customer service team did get back to me and explained that the whole team was off for the Chinese New Year, which I hadn’t realized. They have since been very communicative and helpful.

I'm really pleased with this keyboard! I got tired of hauling around an upright for multiple moves, and have been looking for digital options that are more compact. Decided on the more expensive option, and I do appreciate the extra features. Shipping was quick, assembly was easy (could be heavy for some people) and it looks nice. The features are good, only complaint is that I wish I could change the metronome sound (perhaps just haven't figured it out yet). The sound is good. Not as good as a real piano, but good. Pedals work as they should. The keys are a bit more clunky (heavier/less responsive) than I'm used to, but I don't know how that compares to other keyboards. Love the plug in headphone feature and it works perfectly. Overall it's a wonderful option, especially for the price and as a space saver. It seems to be a good quality build, but have only had it for a few days.

There are two important parts in this transaction: The product and my interaction with the seller. The piano is absolutely wonderful and feels like a real piano. We purchased a little seat that goes with it and it is comfortable and allows to store accessories that come with the piano. It comes with an elegant velvet cloth to cover the keys when not in use and I appreciate it. Regarding the seller: the pedal stand was broken due to handling when we received it. The seller agreed to send us a new stand or to accept a discount. Since our piano was a gift, we wanted a new stand and they sent it. I will admit that it took about a month to receive it and that i could not get a valid tracking number while the package was in transit, which made me doubt about the customer service. However, all was resolved and the stand arrived in perfect shape. I recommend the product as well as the company that sells the product.

For the money? 10/10 stars. It's a nice piece of furniture, sounds amazing and the LED strip light is a great feature. The action is really good and assembly is super easy. I was surprised that the hype videos were true to form. Haven't explored the extra features much, but it makes you want to play more! Highly recommend. I honestly don't know how you can get a better value under $1500
