The AKLOT Violin arrived today securely protected by two outer boxes. The instrument and all necessary accessories (including bonus practice guide, tuner, and extra set of strings), arrived in a very nicely made light weight insulated and structurally reinforced cavas case. The installation guide is easy to follow, but set-up remains a bit tricky and two people at least for first time would make things a lot easier. The instrument itself is beautiful both in sight and sound. For anyone looking for a quality instrument, look no further.

I really like the violin tunes nicely only problem I have is the bridge snapped in 2 while I was tuning it, I didn't overnights the strings it just snapped in half and had to order new bridge, wish they had sent more than one bridge just in case something like this were to happen, I looked closely at the bridge and noticed it had a weak spot,so I'm sure it was the reason for the bridge breaking

I am VERY IMPRESSED by this entire violin set. Not only do you get a BEAUTIFUL violin, truly something to play and not just a decoration piece, you get everything from an instructional manual, an extra set of strings, wax and wand, and an electric tuner. The case is even great, set to wear as a backpack or carry by handle (it's hard as well, so the violin and accessories will be protected). Made to look and fell elegant but remain durable. HIGH quality build and well designed from the accessories to the casing. Easy to use if you know what you're doing (I don't), and sounds great if you know how to play (again, I don't). Great fun already, one of the BEST finds I've come across in a good long time. Great way to get started, great for someone already on the path, and the perfect gift for the musically inclined in your life. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

It’s hard not to give something like this a 5-star review. Yes, this is a very beginner set with everything you need to get started other than lessons and music. It still has a decent tone although the strings are definitely not for long term use. It comes with a nice molded case and looks great too! This is the kind of thing you can use as a kid or adult to learn and get into playing a violin before you move onto something else. And for that purpose, Aklot has been breaking into the scene lately with a lot of great products for that! It’s a tremendously good value for that and a durable violin! It’s fairly thin wood, very lightweight, so don’t be abusing it and it will at least let you get started in violin.

The only (almost) quality thing about this violin is the case. I’m thoroughly disappointed. I will spend more for quality. This isn’t it. I couldn’t get a sound off the violin, and it wasn’t my technique. (I’m a musician and have played many different instruments.) Tuning the violin made it fall apart! Do not buy. The quality isn’t there. This violin is almost weightless, and I was scared of cracking or shattering it just by using it. It doesn’t work well.

Sound quality: good for an entry level instrument. Does not compare well against $2500 violin. Bow is good, somewhat heavy compared to carbon fiber but good for the price. The soft case is functional and offers good protection for a student traveling between school and home. Looks nice, with the exception of the small dent in the head as shown in the picture. We were expecting no dents. For a beginner unit, this is a good purchase instead of paying a rental fee. The stickers and tape on the fretboard are useful for a beginner. See pictures. Includes digital tuner which is a nice touch. The unit is easy to tune, but only has one micro-tuner, we would appreciate more. It does seem to drift tuning slightly from day to day, which is not ideal. Considering the price and functionality, I would give it four stars. All considered, it could have been five had it been unblemished and included more micro-tuners. This is a worthy addition to our collection, avoiding rental fees and providing a safely portable instrument.
