Fit great and still look new 9 months later!

These fit my 2008 4Runner Sport Edition perfectly and I did not need to make any modifications to fit properly. I am not sure why another review said this. Installation was very easy. The white LED Strips are very bright and visible even in daylight. I have had them installed for over 9 months already and they still look brand new. There are no leaks and no fogging on the inside. There is also no problem with the casing behind the turn signal being black instead of reflective. The turn signal/parking lights are still very visible. Another reviewer mentioned the LED strip is the Daytime Running Light (DRL), but it is not. The orange turn signal light is the DRL since it is the light that is still on when the lights are switched to the ‘off’ position. This way, you can have the option to have the LED strip on or off. See below: Lighting sequences: Off: Orange DRL light only Middle: Orange DRL and white LED Strip are both on (with this setting, the lights still turn off automatically after turning the car off and opening the door) On: Headlights and white LED strip only (No orange) (all turn off after turning the car off and locking it twice with the key fob. Other wise it turns off automatically after 1 minute) The turn signals are and always will be the DRL (unless you do a DIY modification with the wiring). This is how it is with the original lights and these new ones. This was not meant to change with this new assembly, so I’m not sure what other reviewers are complaining about. The assembly does come complete with all the bulbs. They are projector headlights so you need to adjust the height. This is very easy to do with the gears on the back. After nine months, still no condensation on the inside and no signs of the outer casing getting ruined from the sun (it has always been parked outside). I provided plenty of pictures and I would highly recommend these.

The lights fit great on my 2006 4Runner! It does bring it up to date and the LED trim lights really change the look of the front end. I siliconed the edges to seal them up as many had suggested. I will update this review as soon as they: fall apart, start fogging up with condensation, LEDs stop working.

HEADLIGHTS HOLD UP JUST LONG ENOUGH TO PASS REPLACEMENT/REFUND WINDOW

Junk! Don’t buy. Bought these headlights 4 months ago and they held up fine until a few days ago. When I got the headlights I applied a coat of silicone sealant where the housing meets clear plastic because I was skeptical of the factory sealant. Recently the sealant on one of the headlights has come apart and let water in. I planned to fix it myself but then the led strip broke inside and will now maybe break my aftermarket headlight bulbs I bought separately. I tried to contact the seller for a replacement/refund but they just sent back an automated response about how I am conveniently out of the refund/replacement window. So basically the headlights work for a short period of time and then it’s not their problem at all. I wish I could leave negative reviews.

Well constructed, OEM fit, bright bulbs included!

First off, decent bulbs (two high beam and two low beam) can set you back at least $40 by themselves and I was surprised at how bright the included bulbs really are. Second, these are a pain to install due to the forth bolt that hides in the wheel well. If you have access to a shop and air tools, it's maybe easier to just pull the front bumper cover off than monkey around with a ratchet on a bolt that you can't see and can barely get any action on. I had a dent in the plastic cover I wanted to remove with a heat gun anyway and yeah, if I replace my headlights again, the bumper cover is coming off. I haven't had these very long and they haven't been exposed to the elements much yet but they seem to be well built and sealed. The lenses are nicely done too, focusing light cleanly, as intended. Pretty much an OEM fit. I was pleased that the LED strips are already wired into the harness, so out of the box they are pretty much "plug and play" installation. The LED strips are used as marker lights (not DRLs) by default and won't come on during the daytime in the "auto" setting. A slight change to the wiring may be needed if that is your goal.

Pretty but watery

Easy install and they work as they should. Very bright but not for long distance. They look really good on my truck once installed. I’m concerned that water is getting into the lights already. From prior knowledge I know this means they won’t last very long due to the water getting into them. This is the reason I rate it as 2 star. They’ve only been on my truck for one week but already got water getting into them. I also noticed the bright lights don’t shine too far ahead of the truck (I hope that makes sense). Like the LED’s are bright but not really for long distance. Not sure they are adjustable, which could potentially help with that issue.

A touch of modern for an old truck

I dont really leave reviews but this is an exception. First off I gotta say the build quality of these housings are absolutly amazing! They dont feel cheap, and they have a nice weight to them. I bought the chrome version and I like the look a lot. The chrome isn't too shiny and has a slight smoke to it. The fitment of these housings is just like OEM. I originally had housings by eagle eyes and the fitment was nothing like stock and they got moisture in them within the first month of having them on. The Day Time Running Light (DRL) is absolutely amazing too. Super bright and it looks modern. It definitly makes the 4runner look sportier than it is. The projectors and high beams parts are really good. Much brighter than the eagle eyes I had on the truck before. These would definitly be a major upgrade for stock housings as well. Partner these up with LED low beams, high beams, and fogs you'll have a very good looking rig. Very well designed and is definitly worth the upgrade. 2nd off I love the fact that these housings coming with replacement bulbs for everything so if you still have the old halogens and indicators from the factory this is a great touch and I feel like more manufacturers should include new bulb. Especially since they're not that expensive. Just keep in mind the plug for the side marker is a little finicky. Took a good amount of time trying to get the plugs to line up. But once they did it wasnt hard getting them to click into each other. I do have one complaint however which is the reason for 4/5 stars. The LED Daytime light doesn't actually replace the factory DRL. To properly use this as an actual Daytime running light, you have to move the switch to the 2nd position to actually use them. which is a bit disappointing. I'll be calling akkon later on in the week to actually find out if this is how they're supposed to work. But overall they're absolutly amazing. I'll update this review if they get any moisture in them within the following weeks or upcoming months. But I would definitly reccomend picking up a set!!

Great customer service. Recommend adding another layer of sealant

The install was easy after watching a YouTube video or two, they fit perfectly and were a nice upgrade from the yellowed OEM headlights on my 2007. Unfortunately the seal on one of the headlights was so defective that one of them filled up with water after a couple of rainstorms. I removed it and cups of water spilled onto the floor. I spent the day drying them out completely, resealing them and reinstalling them, only to discover that the LED running light was no longer working. I wrote in to request a replacement for the defective item and was asked to provide a pic. The next day I was informed that a replacement set was in the mail. It's also worth noting that you'll want to take some time to make sure the beams are aimed correctly after the install.
