The media could not be loaded. I received the AKASO EK7000 Pro from my kids as an early Xmas present this year. I fly small single-engine aircraft and was looking for a camera which could capture what was happening inside the cockpit as well as get high-resolution videos of the scenery outside. After putting the EK7000 Pro through a few test flights, I can say that I’m totally happy with performance, ease of use, and flexibility in mounting. I would recommend this camera without reservation for anyone looking to take high-quality action videos in challenging environments. Some of the big plusses include its large collection of hardware, which has enabled me to mount inside the cockpit on a variety of surfaces, as well as outside the plane. With the remote control on/off, I can easily turn on/off when I want to record, and with the waterproof case, I can use it during precipitation. The resolution of the videos that I’ve shot has been outstanding. I generally use the “super wide” view, which captures the entire scene in amazing detail. With image stabilization, the camera removes vibration caused by the plane’s engine, which is usually a big problem with phone cameras. Finally, the camera user interface is very intuitive and easy to maneuver, the user manual is complete and well-written, and the phone app works very well with the camera. All in all, with a few weeks’ use, this camera has proven rugged, functional and exactly what I needed. I’ll update this review in a couple months as I put this through its paces.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the AK7000 Pro for our trip to New Zealand. It is fairly easy to use. We watched several YouTube videos that really helped. There are a lot of connectors. We were most interested in the chest harness and floatable stick. We also chose a light. It seems bright enough, but the frame to hold the light and attach it to the stick is not straight. So, I'll need to adjust the way I hold the stick to keep it level. A few other comments: the open-style case is not secure. If I push the camera straight in the top latch doesn't engage. If I get the latch to engage the camera is seated at an angle. Either position could allow the camera to pop out. That's disappointing as it's the only way to change the zoom easily and record the sound. I used the underwater case most of the time for security, but no sound and it's a pain to zoom. Also, it would be nice for the buttons on the side to adjust zoom. The included video is our gondola ride. I like the quality. So, good camera, mediocre accessories.

We needed and extra action cam to mount to our Jeep for going off road and took a chance on the Akaso 7 Pro because of the Great reviews and even better price. It's been awesome! Has all the features we need, shoots great video, and I would definitely buy another to have an extra.

We got this to both record and stream live and had no previous experience with any webcam hardware beyond what they put in laptops these days. Most of our needs were met by our phones. However, we eventually realized we could really benefit from something more portable that didn't keep getting in the way. That's where this came in. The price point meant that we could afford to experiment with it and not be too concerned if it didn't work out. The camera is super simple to operate and I figured it out in a couple of minutes before I even read the manual. It shoots really smooth 60 fps video at 1080 and still has a nice 4K picture at 30 frames/sec. t's easy to record to the computer simply by connecting the mini-HDMI on the camera to the HDMI port on the laptop. We've been using OBS to record stuff on Linux and haven't run into any problems. The camera was recognized immediately with full functionality. I do advise you consider heeding the warning about SD cards over 64GB presenting potential compatibility issues. We bought a SanDisk 512GB Extreme microSDXC for this unit at first because, although AKASO warns against it in the documentation, many reviewers online mentioned using higher capacity cards without issue. I think those reviewers were simply referring traffic to the products that made them the most commission and never actually had any experience with this setup, because we had trouble from the start. The camera didn't recognize the card until it was formatted, and then it would only show up with a 30GB capacity. In contrast, the Kingston 64GB microSDXC Canvas Go Plus card we purchased worked perfectly right off the bat and it's been smooth since. Instead of getting a larger capacity card, spend you money on several 64GB ones instead. I consider this a good purchase and we'll be getting a lot of use out of this little camera and its amazing assortment of accessories. Oh, and it came with two batteries and a charger that charges both at the same time. Battery life is great too.
