So far, we have only had the opportunity to get everything set up and ready to take on a dive trip. It seems easy to use and has good quality from our practice while setting it up. It was not diffiuclt to get ready and learn how to use it. Excited to see what we are able to get from our dive!

Bought this as a replacement for my old hero 2. Yes thats pretty old. Using this with the housing on diving trips. Quality is great in comparison and at this price I will be able to replace others!

So far, so good. I’ve had a go pro for a few years now(older model), and can say the image quality is actually better on my new Akaso 7LE. I use this to record fishing trips around my Northern Cali home, absolutely love this thing so far. The only con I have so far is that the battery life doesn’t last as long as I would like. 4k you only get about 1-1.5 hours of battery life. Not a deal breaker but you have to cognizant of your battery life. I usually set an alarm on my phone for 1.2 hours. I haven’t taken it underwater yet, but the housing it comes with seems very sturdy.

It takes good, clear video and audio. I don't know how it might compare to other brands since this is the first time I've used a camera of this type. I only recorded video and only at the highest resolution and quality, so I can't fairly comment on anything else. Battery life is about as long as I'd imagined. You'd definitely need three or four if you're planning on using it for most of a day. Each battery gives around an hour of actual recording time, but they are pretty small all things considered. It'd be awesome if it could use a micro SD card that's bigger than 64 GB. It's not a deal breaker, but one will only hold ~2.5 hours of max resolution video. In short, two batteries are required to fill one 64 GB micro SD card to 80% capacity; consequently, I typically found myself changing memory cards every time I swapped out the second battery for a third. It did what I expected and is probably capable of more. I still need to try driving mode.

I had a 4 but it's gone into hiding and the optical zoom was absolutely appealing (though notice no mechanic sounds, and have not checked video on a big screen) The 7 camera is absolutely more solid (& heavier) than the 4 and seemingly fir climate tolerant as far as moisture and dust ... though not water proof without the extra case (that's fine) . However ... 4* is the best I can do, and on a 5* system almost generous . * the power button is difficult to operate (clearly using fingernail is not condusive to long life) * the menu, to put it plainly 'sucks' ... it was way better on the 4 * requiring a capcha link instruction download is not of interest to me * while I managed the front/back screen switch twice .... I still don't know how (not important to me) * the 4 had video length options ... have not found a way other than seemingly default 10min on this 7 * don't recall on 4 (likely too), but on the 7, it needs to be taken off the mount for the battery compartment to open * new SD chip location is dificult .... inserts better with battery removed * battery life is questionable ... got 45 min on test run .... thats short .. the 4 did 90 min + ... definatelly getting another 4 ... cheaper and largely 'better' except for it's uncased self protection
