I was never much into shooting video before. I wanted to get into the world of action cameras so that I could take videos while out on my kayak, and even in the winter when I go snowboarding. I didn't want to pay the very high prices that are associated with other brands. I found the Akaso to be an attractive offer with a wide variety of attachments and accessories for a very fair price. I unfortunately haven't been able to use it as much as I originally intended, but I have gotten some nice videos out on my kayak and Snowboard, and even of my bird feeding station in my backyard! It was fun posting the camera right next to the bird feeder and getting some close-up shots of the birds! The biggest issue I've been having is managing my battery life usage. I'm having a hard time engaging the true length of battery life. I think when I'm in the mountains and it's cold, the batteries probably don't last as long under those conditions. Otherwise great camera and lots of fun to use!

Bought this for my 10 year old on his birthday. We plan to bring with us on a couple hiking trips so haven’t tried everything yet, but have used the handle bar mount for his dirt bike. He loves setting up the tripod and taking pictures of things throughout the day. Excited to use the selfie stick (sold separately) mount and the other wearable mounts when we hike. Quality looks great and easy to upload to the computer.

I do not sky-dive, scuba dive nor snow board. I ride motorcycles and Hike. The Askaso Brave 7 is perfect for my endeavors. For me, there is a learning curve yet not insurmountable nor terribly frustrating. The videos are Very Good… Sound, excellent especially once I learned to turned on Wind Reduction :-)….Battery Life much better than I anticipated… Feels/acts Sturdy and well built. I am well pleased. I recently purchased the AKASO BRAVE 7 action camera and I'm absolutely blown away by its performance for the price. It's a fantastic option for anyone looking to capture their adventures without breaking the bank. The video quality is crystal clear, even in low-light conditions. The 4K resolution is perfect for capturing every detail of my mountain biking trips and snowboarding adventures. The image stabilization is also impressive, making my footage look smooth and professional. I love the dual-screen design. The front-facing screen is great for vlogging and selfies, while the rear screen is perfect for framing my shots. This is my first action camera, and I am liking it so far. The only hiccup I had is that the camera wouldn't quite work without a real high-speed microSD card; a slow card prevented the camera from properly and promptly concluding each recording. The screen would say that it's recording, but it really wasn't. Once I got a brand name microSD card that performs as rated, I am really impressed with Brave 7's 4K 60fps mode, which provides crisp videos for driving / skiing / boating and other activities full of motion. If you want higher FPS at lower resolutions, or even slow mo modes, then those are available too. Low light performance is OK under street lamps and while driving; if I have any gripes it's the not-ideal white balance and exposure when there's contrasting brightness across the scene. Also, the built-in microphone located at the top of the camera is *just* usable; meanwhile the setting for dampening wind noise makes audio worse or weird. Suggest investing in a USB-C external mic if you need good audio.

I find mysekf completely disappointed by this device. 1. The image stabilization and gyroscope are turned off by default, so there's a good change your first few videos will be missing this key feature 2. The front screen is actually useless in practice (it's a either/or situation 3. The power indicator lights are off by default, which can be a giant pain when trying to start the camera while in bright sun and water environment 4. There is NO red indicator light on the front!!!! If you are starting this thing in a self-facing orientation, you can't tell if it is recording or not. You have to have access to the back side of the camera, which doesn't work for a number of mounting conditions 5. No integral mounting tabs, you have to use the skeleton case for almost every decent mounting option 6. This is a handheld camera posing as an action cam... the lack of mounting tabs and no indicator light are so infuriating 7. The combo power button and shooting button is infuriating if you are trying to use the camera on anything but a handheld mount. So if you intend for this to be a handheld camera, it might be acceptable, but it just isn't refined enough for use in situations where you aren't using the camera as a handheld a or don't have easy access to the back of the camera. bonus hate: don't even think about trying to switch modes to shoot a still photo or burst shot, that change take way too many steps.

I do some light off-roading, I purchased 2 of these cameras, one for myself and one for my son. Both cameras have worked really well. While it's 4k looks great, I have it set to 1080 to save file space. The remote is by far my favorite feature, since when it's in the case - I obviously can't touch the buttons. It's settings are easy to figure out which is good. My son likes that you can connect to the camera through the AKASO Go app and download the videos to your phone. It comes with everything you need to get started including 2 batteries/charger & the remote control It's also about half the cost of a GoPro!
