  • Great Camera for Business & Adventure!
Model: Brave 7 - 64GB MicroSD Card Bundle
I use the AKASO Brave 7 to capture street food events and behind-the-scenes footage for my business, and it’s been awesome. The video quality is sharp, colors pop, and the dual screens make it easy to frame shots. It’s tough, handles the weather, and the extra battery is a nice bonus. The app can be a little touchy sometimes, but overall it’s a great action cam for the price — perfect for creators and small business owners on the go! ... show more

  • Excellent value for your bucks
Model: Brave 7 - No MicroSD Card
After using my Akaso Brave 4 and loving it after a hike, I decided to get a second one (within 1 week), the Akaso Brave 7 - GY. Due to the attractive price, overall value, larger front display, and mild water-resistance without case. Definitely different, the Brave 7 is much more sturdy, larger, and a bit heavier due the construction. The features and menu flow is a little different too, but still intuitive and easy to do without the online PDF manual. Notable differences between the two. To start positively, both come with bunch of mounting accessories (everything you need to get started) - excellent! The batteries are slightly different size wise, so it you cannot share the Brave 4 and 7 in case you bought extras batteries (I did) - Just FYI. The outer protective frame on the Brave 7, it's cumbersome as it requires the mounting thumb screw removal to pull out the camera to get to the battery hatch, whereas the Brave 4 is a easy clip-on type without removing the mount screw. The rear/front display switching button and wifi enable is different. For display Brave 4 = Up button hold; Brave 7 = Down button hold. For Wifi, Brave 4 = Power button hold; Brave 7= Up button hold. Photo/Video/Setting configuration is similar and can also be done via touch screen on the Brave 7. Though something interesting in the Brave 7. Some settings are locked for edit and remain in default mode (not sure why these and other settings are modifiable). These are: [Camera]: Self timer; Auto Shoot interval; Auto Shoot duration; Burst photo type. [Video]: Timelapse interval; Timelapse duration; Video shoot time. This was frustration trying to figure out why....then assumed that these are probably not needed to configure, since you can do these manually in real time using the nifty Remote control (which btw, you have to charge its internal battery via included USB mini plug cable (yes mini) and not sure how long the charge will last though). Luckily the camera data/power port on both 4/7 is USB-C and you can use and charge at the same time, so that's good. Aside from that I like both. Brave 7, I'll exclusively use for hiking (water resistance to 33ft - great for rainy hikes, and waterfall spray). Brave 4 I'll use for beach vacations since it comes with a true waterproof clear case (to 130ft). ... show more

  • Decent, affordable, functional for amateurs
Model: Brave 7 - No MicroSD Card
Purchased for a Florida Nature Coast vacation and regular use while kayaking in Virginia. Audio quality and image stabilization have clearly been improved since earlier reviews. Camera and accessories are easy to use. Battery life was sufficient for short paddles and floats. I only used one with a back up fully charged in case needed. For a little over $100, I'm satisfied with the value based on the good results I got. I accidentally tested the water resistance by knocking it into the channel where I was fishing. Oops. No issues with functionality afterward, and a fun video resulted. Buy the extra accessory packs and waterproof case. All very useful and versatile. I would definitely recommend for an amateur looking for an inexpensive, decent quality action cam. ... show more

  • Affordable Waterproof Action Cam
Model: Brave 7 - No MicroSD Card
I debated between the GoPro Hero and various Akaso models and ended up on realizing I simply needed an affordable action cam that was waterproof, so I went with the Brave 7. I was going on a trip to FL so water was in its future. I ordered a couple 128GB highspeed micrsoSD cards for it as well. It came well packaged and with a ton of accessories. The documentation, which you get online, is precise and well written. Tip: don’t throw away the foam cover that it comes with, it can be used for wind noise reduction. The model is well reviewed on other platforms so I was able to get enough information on how to set it up and the best settings for it. The touch screen is easy to use and is responsive. I turned off the wind noise reduction feature, with it on, audio just cut in and out and it did not seem to work. The image stabilization worked great, I really liked how I didn’t need a gimble for it at all. On the FL trip I used it to film walking on the beach, in the city, playing in the ocean, ( and yes its waterproof, at least down a couple feet), driving in a car mounted on the windshield, and to take a couple pictures. I ended up on 2.7k/30fps as a good resolution for shooting most video. The best video you are going to get out of it will be in good sunlight, outdoors. It is after all, an action camera meant to be used outdoors 😊 The batteries seemed to last a decent while, we’ll see how the longevity of them will be over time. The only small gripe I have is the SD/USB slot door, it’s a bit tricky to get shut, you have to do this push in and slide up maneuver to get it to click back in place. I can only assume its due to the waterproofing material. Its not a huge deal as I don’t take the SD card out super often, its just something you have plan for if you are in a hurry to swap SD cards. I did download the AKASO GO app on my iPhone and it seems to work OK, but I haven’t yet used it extensively yet. The accessories seem to be good, if you need them. The remote control is useful if you have it mounted to like a helmet or somewhere you don’t want to have to constant be hit the record button. It survived the trip and being used in a saltwater ocean without a case, I just made sure to wash it off with cold tap water after each ocean use. It also performed well in 110 degree heat, I just made sure I didn’t use it for hours at a time in that heat, so it didn’t get too hot. The pictures it took, with using the widest angle, were crisp and it was nice to get a wider field of vision than you’d get from a phone. Overall I’d recommend this camera to someone who is looking for a affordable action cam to use for travel in damp and wet environments. I’m happy with it and will continue to use it for my adventures. ... show more

  • Good price, good camera
Model: Brave 7 - 128GB MicroSD Card Bundle
This camera had everything I wanted for a fraction of the price of a GoPro. And with Prime, I got it in plenty of time for my trip. It’s small but mighty
