Awesome Product for Motorcycles

Love it. I recently had the Akaso Brave 4 which I really liked as well. It was easy to use and being small and lightweight was perfect for mounting to my motorycle. I hit a deer, and the Brave 4 was completely destroyed. The Brave 7 is a really nice upgrade without the high price of a GoPro. It is much easier to use than the Brave 4 with the touch screen and updated software. Mine is the updated version 2.0, so the internal mic is also much better than the original. It is easy to use and the Akaso app works well. I have never owned a GoPro, but this works perfectly for its intended purpose. The remote control and accessory kit is a nice addition to this package for the price. It comes with a charger, 2 batteries, remote control and mounting accessories. I do wish it came standard with the waterproof case. You need to purchase that separately. Even though the the camera has an IPX rating, I still prefer to have it in a case while riding on my motorcycle. The plastic cage that comes with the camera is pretty flimsy, and the hinge that locks the camera into the case already broke. However, this is not a deal breaker, as I would want something more substantial on my motorycle anyway. An aluminum/metal cage would be really nice to have in this combo kit. The camera itself is very well made and seems solid and durable. The video quality is very good, and I really like how easy it is to change settings. The upgraded stabalization works really well on my bike. Excellent video quality for the price. I am a novice with action cameras, but the quality is really good. If you're a professional blogger, you may notice a small difference in video quality, but if you your looking for a quality action camera for your adventures, look no further. Great product at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality action camera for road biking, mountain biking or motorcycling. A solid action camera

A really top quality action camera that handles the rough stuff. Particularly nice are the verbal commands, but this will inevitably reduce the battery quickly when left on. Decent, affordable, functional for amateurs

Purchased for a Florida Nature Coast vacation and regular use while kayaking in Virginia. Audio quality and image stabilization have clearly been improved since earlier reviews. Camera and accessories are easy to use. Battery life was sufficient for short paddles and floats. I only used one with a back up fully charged in case needed. For a little over $100, I'm satisfied with the value based on the good results I got. I accidentally tested the water resistance by knocking it into the channel where I was fishing. Oops. No issues with functionality afterward, and a fun video resulted. Buy the extra accessory packs and waterproof case. All very useful and versatile. Affordable Waterproof Action Cam
Set name: Brave 7
I debated between the GoPro Hero and various Akaso models and ended up on realizing I simply needed an affordable action cam that was waterproof, so I went with the Brave 7. I was going on a trip to FL so water was in its future. I ordered a couple 128GB highspeed micrsoSD cards for it as well. It came well packaged and with a ton of accessories. The documentation, which you get online, is precise and well written. Tip: don’t throw away the foam cover that it comes with, it can be used for wind noise reduction. The model is well reviewed on other platforms so I was able to get enough information on how to set it up and the best settings for it. The touch screen is easy to use and is responsive. I turned off the wind noise reduction feature, with it on, audio just cut in and out and it did not seem to work. The image stabilization worked great, I really liked how I didn’t need a gimble for it at all. On the FL trip I used it to film walking on the beach, in the city, playing in the ocean, ( and yes its waterproof, at least down a couple feet), driving in a car mounted on the windshield, and to take a couple pictures. I ended up on 2.7k/30fps as a good resolution for shooting most video. The best video you are going to get out of it will be in good sunlight, outdoors. It is after all, an action camera meant to be used outdoors 😊 The batteries seemed to last a decent while, we’ll see how the longevity of them will be over time. The only small gripe I have is the SD/USB slot door, it’s a bit tricky to get shut, you have to do this push in and slide up maneuver to get it to click back in place. I can only assume its due to the waterproofing material. Its not a huge deal as I don’t take the SD card out super often, its just something you have plan for if you are in a hurry to swap SD cards. I did download the AKASO GO app on my iPhone and it seems to work OK, but I haven’t yet used it extensively yet. The accessories seem to be good, if you need them. The remote control is useful if you have it mounted to like a helmet or somewhere you don’t want to have to constant be hit the record button. It survived the trip and being used in a saltwater ocean without a case, I just made sure to wash it off with cold tap water after each ocean use. It also performed well in 110 degree heat, I just made sure I didn’t use it for hours at a time in that heat, so it didn’t get too hot. The pictures it took, with using the widest angle, were crisp and it was nice to get a wider field of vision than you’d get from a phone. Overall I’d recommend this camera to someone who is looking for a affordable action cam to use for travel in damp and wet environments. A Robust Action Camera With Unmatched Value

I've been looking for a camera that can survive a bit more cold than the GoPro 12 Black, and much hasn't changed with the 13. I loved the Gopro app, but the camera would always shut down when skiing. I tried the DJI Osmo action 4 but didn't care much for the app. Insta-360... not so much. And the value, again it just isn't there. I never gave much attention to these "budget" cameras like the Akaso, but when I saw this Brave 7 being compared to the Gopro And DJI on Youtube at nearly half the cost on sale, I thought I may as well give it a try. And mind you, I was extremely skeptical. I have always thought you get what you pay for in electronics but guess what, I was wrong. This little piece of equipment is not only robust, but it actually stays on while skiing. Didn't turn off once unless I turned it on and off myself. I didn't try and tuck it away like with the Gopro, worrying that it would get frostbite, lol. This little gem stayed lit the whole day. All I did was change batteries and gave it voice commands, which by the way never failed. And the app??? I'm no tech genius but it's very intuitive and I have had no problems navigating it. Picture quality is right on par with the other 2 as well. This thing is solid, with a hefty, robust build quality that really made me think I had made the right choice. And so far, so good. My only concern is this. What was I thinking by limiting myself to two of the top brands when this little guy is right on par with them and costs $250 less. Out the door cost = $179.99, and that included two batteries and many accessories you don't get with the other two. I feel strongly that this camera is going to fit my needs nicely at a price that's well, quite astonishing if you ask me. One year in - and it's not really usable anymore

Just prior to a year old, i started getting an error with the camera that would say the sd card wasn't high enough speed and it would stop recording. I was using a sandisk v30 card, so is plenty fast and worked flawlessly with my go pro. i tried more than one card an all had the same results. tech support was responsive but i was about 10 days past the 1 yr warranty when i reported the issue. The camera should last more than one year. I'm not going to knock tech support, good response and i technically was out of warranty. a better look would be to take care of the customer who is still that close to the 1 year mark, but they aren't obligated to. The one star is because i've had a go pro 10 running along side of this camera and don't have issues with the go pro at all, plus the go pro has better low light picture, better stability, better features and is alot more reliable. i liked the akaso price but i guess you get what you pay for. my first akaso i lost, the second one the usb plug came loose so i cannot keep it plugged in to keep it powered, and this one has apparent hardware issues (tech support's diagnosis from the troubleshooting i did). unfortunately it's one year old and not usable. ... show more
