I used to think the cheap battery nail drill was great until I bought this. Blows the other out of the water. If you do soft gel at home this is so worth it, will make it 100x easier. Just be careful because it is powerful and you can really file down your nails too much if you get carried away. Even the lowest setting can still be strong with certain drill tips attached. I like the variety you get for the tips but they do wear down and stop being as effective over time. I think that’s inevitable though with any brand. It seems to have a pretty generic way of attaching them though and Amazon sells a lot of cheap drill bits you can surely buy. You get so many with this drill though it would take a while to get to that point though. Be aware that you will need to plug this in to a wall outlet to use it, the cord is fairly long. Only thing I’m not crazy about is the on/off switch. It’s a toggle switch where “off “ is the middle position, and moving it to either side will turn the drill “on” and spin in that direction. It can be tricky to get back to “off” and I often end up making it spin in opposite directions til I get it to turn off. The speed setting is a scrolly wheel next to the toggle switch. I purchased this product for my at home manicures. As a mother of 3 daughters, going to the nail salon adds up so this more than paid for itself after the first use. I ordered this e-file in February but by March (a few days before the end of the 30 day warranty through Amazon) the e-file stopped working and started to over heat. I don’t use this e-file on a high speed, as a beginner, I don’t feel comfortable going any higher than one small turn on the dial. Not to mention, the main purpose of this drill is just to remove the top coat of gel polish on a natural nail. Which wouldn’t need a high speed. However, After allowing it time to “cool off” once it shut off, it wouldn’t turn back on. When this e-file worked, it was exactly what I wanted in an e-file. It worked really great and was perfect for a beginner like myself. I reached out to the seller and explained what happens and without asking for anything more in return, offered to send me a replacement! This in my opinion was the epitome of a 5 star customer service company. They also told me if I have any more issues in the future to reach out to them for further assistance. I also signed up for the extended 6 month warranty through their website. This information can be found in the instructional book included. After purchasing a UV light and trying, very unsuccessfully, to remove my gel nails with acetone, I decided to buy an eFile. I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I wasn't sure how committed I was to doing my own nails. I chose this file because of its affordability, the variety of attachments it comes with, and the fact that it's electric instead of using batteries. I'm very pleased with how this file performs; it's powerful, and being able to control the speed and rotation direction has been a lifesaver. I mostly use the sandpaper and metal attachments, and I haven't really used the others, but that's just my preference. I like that the file and all the attachments neatly fit in my nail care bag without taking up too much space. Beginners should use this file carefully, as it's powerful and easy to hurt yourself. Okay, I’m going to be real honest here. I bought a nail drill for my aunt and I. Product arrived on time and we’ll packaged. The drill works good but I did notice just one thing that could have made this 5 star review..I noticed that my aunts nail drill speed setting goes down to the slowest or slowest which is good because you wanna be able to control the speed to your liking right ? However mine, even at the lowest setting it still goes pretty fast. Not sure why mine does that or maybe it’s just defective but I’m still disappointed about that.
