    • Perfect for a paddleboard!
I really wanted an anchor for my paddlboard, Some days I'm just more in the mood to paddle out to the middle of the lake and crack open a beverage while I relax and tan. Unfortunately, unlike a kayak, it's very difficult to hold a paddle and not spill a drink at the same time (especially if your board is inflatable and has no cupholders). As soon as you relax you start floating away. The other problem with paddleboards is there isn't a lot of storage, so I didn't want an anchor that was going to be bulky or heavy and be cumbersome to paddle with. This anchor is perfect! It folds up very small and fits easily in my surf sack. It's not super heavy but still holds pretty well. I wouldn't use it in any major waves, but for a calm day on an inland lake it works perfectly. I've never noticed myself drifting when I've used it. The rope is only about 15 feet - so again, not designed for big bodies of water, but I've never had a problem in the canals and smaller lakes I've used it in. I'm very pleased with my purchase! We use it for our SUPs, but successfully anchored 2 SUPs and 2 kayaks in a mild current today. Kinda felt bad for all the others drifting into the shallows... 4 stars because it needs 10' more length and a swivel snap hook, but easy enough to DIY. One of the best accessories for our SUPs.

this little guy is *almost* perfect for the puget sound. i had to add a LOT of length to its leash for tides/currents, even super close to shore (50ft). i also think it wasn’t as dense as it could be. added some hy-80 to keep it stable in deeper/current waters. a great anchor for a lake, however!

    • Don’t forget sunscreen
Satisfied with the use of anchoring my paddle board to relax off shore and lay out after paddling all morning, I just remember the sunscreen. My board didn’t budge one bit, I anchored the first time by a fixed buoy to test its effectiveness. I have not tried to use it during days with extremely strong waves at the beach, but even if it is effective I wouldn’t recommend That. ... show more

I was needed something that could keep my board or yak still in the ocean or rovers of Florida and thought I really needed something bigger. But this 1.5-pound babby did the job perfectly! Light and strong, the ocean tides and river currents are no match!

Quality product! Holds down my 11' iSUP just fine in one spot in calm waters. If there are waves or crazy currents its not enough. Everything about this product and the quality is well-done and I have nothing bad to say about it.
