This is our second purchase of this product. The first one was accidentally stepped on and snapped in half. It is made of wood, which is the reason is snapped. It might be more durable if it was made of a plastic material that might bend easier. The suction cup is strong enough to hold it in place when I forget to remove it from the window before driving the boat. The suction cup has a nice tab that you pull to release the suction against the window. The flag is bright orange and should last for a long time! We bought a boat and the old owners had been jamming the stick to the old flag down the back of the seat back, which was causing it to pull away pretty bad at the seam. We bought this and I stand fix by it suction cupping to the tower. Now we just have to repair the damage they did to the seat (insert eye roll). ... show more

The suction cup works very well to stick to the windshield of the boat, even with some wind. Our old flag had faded with the sun, and had become difficult to see for other boats. The orange is bright and easy to spot on the lake. The fabric ais thick and the stitching is strong, so this flag will probably last 20 years, just like our other one did! ... show more

It work just like every other ski flag I've had. The poles are wooden though and do break somewhat easily if they get stepped/sat on accidentally in the boat. For the price it's exactly what I'd expect. In the future I might look for a flag that's made of a more forgiving composite or something that flexes and can withstand a little more accidental abuse. ... show more
