The neoprene knuckle guards and seat pads are for comfort and to help you stay on top. Rope hook-ups are super easy with the heavy-duty Kwik- Connect. Three 30-gauge vinyl air chambers are fully encased by a double stitched 1,680-denier nylon cover.     • O.k. for kids and teens BUT construction needs to improve
I own a boat rental business and I've bought several of these over the years. Personally, I would like to see the material (plastic tube) be thicker and the seams more durable. I've had the seams split and then air leaks out. You cant patch a seam. Also its common for the back middle section to "bubble" and lose its shape a little bit. And finally, this is NOT for 5 adults.... maybe 4 small adults at most. Jumbo Dog is more suitable for kids and teens or small adults. I would say the weight limit for this tube is around 700-750 pounds max. Thankfully, most customers in the rental business do not rent this tube... they rent round tubes for 1 or 2 people like 40-60 times per season. I keep this Jumbo Dog on hand for the occasional customer about 5 to 8 times per season. I think the Jumbo Dog is actually more fun than a round tube but its construction needs to improve. The only reason I continue to buy it is because at about $200 it is cheaper than a real "banana" tube which runs $750-800. If I had more demand for banana style tubes I would invest the extra money to buy a RAVE WATERBOGGAN 5-rider. The Jumbo Dog if used for kids and teens is good.... but it wont take a lot of abuse. I give it 3 stars (maybe 3.5) because construction needs to improve . ... show more

Kids love this tube. One of the sides was twisted inside & hard to inflate the first time. Some of the stitching is coming undone after 3 uses. So not sure about the durability of it.

    • Fun to ride!
Jumbo dog was a hit with the kids at the lake. It handled 5 teenagers no problem. Jumbo dog tips over if you go outside the wake. Biggest issue was the handles were so rough I tore the skin off the kids hands after just one ride, so I will be modifying those. Good quality & easy to inflate.

    • Jumbo Dog Rules the Water!
Now in its 2nd summer, our Jumbo Dog is so awesome. I researched this type of tube quite a bit before purchasing, do I go smaller and cheaper or go really high end and spend more (up to $1000 or more). This Jumbo Dog fell right in the middle; its big enough to hold 5 younger adults and its heavy enough also to hold them. The Jumbo Dog has held up well and believe me it has taken a lot of lake abuse. Little kids love it but big kids (in their 20's) seem to enjoy it more. You can putt along at a low speed with little kiddies and they love it because it makes them feel safe and adventurous but once the 20 something's jump on it and I put the throttle to the metal, all heck breaks loose and the Jumbo Dog turns into a wild ride. It does take up a lot of room in the house and on the boat but it sure has brought us lots of fun on the water and has provided great pictures and videos of family and friends. ... show more

    • Have a pump or be sorry!!!!!!
Folks don't buy this without an air pump. This tube is fun, but it is BIG!!!!. About 13 feet or so when inflated. It is also pretty heavy when it's dry, and really heavy when it is wet. We have a 27 foot boat and it is a small feat of engineering to inflate and deflate the tube out on the water. It is three separate air chambers. the main chamber uses a Boston valve. The two side chambers have built in one way valves, so you will need multiple attachments for the pump. The quality is very high and the materials are very robust. It'll last a long time with some basic TLC. It is surprisingly stable with three of fewer riders, but becomes less so when you tack on 5. My kids and guests have loved using it all summer. For the price you pay, it is well worth it. Again, make sure you have an electric pump to inflate it. If not you will spend all day and all of your energy inflating it. ... show more

    • VERY strong, very sturdy, great product
This is an excellent product. I was a tad hesitant to buy it at first because a number of people said it lost air, and when I first used it I thought it was losing air, too, but IT DOES NOT LOSE AIR. Here is what it is: when you first blow it up, the material expands in the first hour or two thus giving the impression that it has "lost air" when it hasn't. Then you "top it off" with a little more air and then it will stay fully inflated for a week-plus without getting any softer. It's just the material needs to re-expand after being deflated for a long period of time. But what is really awesome about this product is how strong it is. My very rough kids often use it as a "king of the hill" device, being pulled and twisted in all sorts of way and it won't even begin to tear no matter how much it is abused, and I've torn a lot of other tubes before. If you can remember to top it off after first use you'll be very happy with this product. ... show more

THE MOST FUN I HAVE HAD ON AN INNER TUBE! Definitely worth the buy. I am 26 years old and had a blast. I laughed so hard every time I rode it. I took it on our vacation trip with my cousins (ages from 13 to 27) to Lake Powell and it was the favorite thing to do. The most we had was 3 adults on it with 2 teenagers and it was perfect. We tried everything from one person to all five and five people was the best. We were hesitant to put all five people on because we are all adults but, it was so much fun and the tube held up great.
