  • All my grandkids got right up!
Super fun and easy to get up on! Inspires confidence!

  • Perfect wakeboard trainer!
My kids absolutely love this! My 4-year-old popped right up on his first try. He is starting to get a little ‘crazy’ and jump around and go side to side, so it’s already time for him to move on to a real wakeboard. My 6-year-old is a little more timid, but still got up no problem and can ride it for 5 minute stretches. This is a perfect introduction. ... show more

  • This will "break" long before it breaks...
The media could not be loaded. As the title says, we will end up telling our kids this "broke" long before it does. Why? Because they like it so much they may be hesitant to do anything else. This item is exactly what we wanted. We have an 8, 6 and 4 year old and we were looking for something that would make them all more comfortable being towed by a boat. We expected it to work great for the two olders, but were happily surprised with our youngest's willingness to stand up on it as you can see in the video uploaded. Apologies for the quality, the sun was in a bad position. We started by pulling it behind a sit down Jet Ski, then quickly transitioned to a 26' deck boat. We feel it is the perfect trainer to get them a bit more comfortable behind a big boat and later that weekend were working with them on water skis. We felt this helped make that transition. On to more about the product itself. As you can see in the picture this is basically a boogie board surround by a flotation device. The boogie board is held into the raft by two nylon staps that go around the bottom corners of the boogie board. If you zoom closely you can see it in the picture. What I like about this is that even when we are done with it, we can use each piece separately, as a boogie board and a water play floatie. The rope that ties the float to the boat is separate from the rope handle that the kids hold onto. This removes the need for any significant strength to be towed on this. As you'll see in the video our 4 yo can wave at us while being towed. As for inflation if you look in the picture you can see the black crescent shaped zipper on the yellow part. When you unzip that there is a plug for inflation and yes it includes the red inner plug that allows you to hook up an inflation pump. It inflates in second and gets nice and firm. One tip is to make sure the boogie board is inserted BEFORE inflation, otherwise it is a bit difficult to get it in place. Other nice features are that the rope itself where it would attach to the boat has a handle. I am not sure if this is because we are supposed to hold the other end instead of tie it off, but for me it means when we are done with this we can easily re-purpose the rope. Other than that there is not much to say except to remind you the speed limit on this thing is 10 mph. This is great for its purpose which in most cases should mean you won't need to use it for too long! ... show more

  • Great for confidence, but not much else
I have mixed feelings about the Ez Wake Trainer. On one hand, my kids were terrified of doing anything behind the boat except for tube because it was loud and made a lot of waves but this seemed more like the trainer skis they’d used behind the wave runner and has soft sides so I guess it was less intimidating. We removed the handled rope and attached a regular rope to the bottom (like you would a tube) because as they aren’t attached to the board like trainer skis we didn’t see the point of holding onto them by hand. My 5, 7 and very small 9 year old were able to stand on this pretty easily. Their 10 year old cousin who is significantly heavier (maybe 65 lbs) could not stand up and stay up on it. My older two kids were bored of it after two tries but my 5 year old will ride it all day. So for younger kids, it’s a fun thing to play on. They did say it’s pretty hard to go side to side on though so I’m not sure how much it “trains” them for a wakeboard but does at least give them an initial feel for being upright behind a boat. It also gave my kids the confidence to branch out to different behind the boat things like surfing and kneeboarding (and hopefully wakeboarding next season when we have a smaller board). We haven’t tried the board without the floatation piece around it but it’s basically a boogie board. For the cost, it’s a tough call. One of our handles actually came broken (the one the boat would use to hold on) which was disappointing considering that it isn’t inexpensive. And really, it isn’t THAT useful of a trainer. But if you have little kids that need that extra push or you want doing something besides tubing, it might be worth your investment. ... show more

  • Better Than I Expected
I wasn't completely sure about this purchase when I made it, but I am extremely impressed. My 6 year old grandson had no problems standing up straight and staying aboard. He had such a blast right out the gate! No real learning curve or huge challenge. We pulled him around all day and he never got tired of it. I think this is a huge confidence builder and makes them feel like one of the big kids! Couldn't be happier! ... show more

  • Great fun!
Our younger kids love it. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Takes about 30 seconds to inflate and less to deflate. Stores easily. Great fun!

  • Works good. Kids loved it.
Used for the first last weekend. Had 3 kids using it ages 6-10. It was great for all the ages, especially the little ones. In fact, it is a bit easier to use the smaller the kid. The bigger the kid, the less stable it is. I even tried to get on it and it was tough to balance on it. It would slide out from under me. One thing is to make sure the handle fits the child. If the handle is too long, it pulls back, the nose lifts up and the whole thing flips over backwards. The handle is adjustable so that is good. All in all, a good product to build confidence and work on balancing and manuervering for little ones. Easy to set up and start using. ... show more
