The world of dual-action metal-body airbrushes covers a pretty wide spectrum in both quality and price point and this particular airbrush is in a good place on quality and a very affordable price, particularly for those looking to start out but hesitant to drop a ton of money. The set includes everything you need (except for a compressor) to get you started but doesn't have much in the way of instructions/guidance beyond a simple parts identifier sheet for what's in the box, so you'll have to look elsewhere to learn how to use it effectively if you're totally new to airbrush painting. I've used dual-action airbrushes for years building military scale models for publication and was attracted to this one as a potential "workhorse" airbrush and it doesn't disappoint. The set includes all of the necessary cleaning/maintenance tools with reamers and brushes to keep the internals in good working order as well as a full replacement set of O-rings for the future. It comes equipped with the 0.3mm nozzle and needle already installed and the additional 0.5mm nozzle and needle clearly identified if you prefer that instead. The braided air hose is well-sized and flexible and has a nice length to it so you're not too closely tied to your compressor. The connection fittings on both ends are sturdy metal with deep threads to allow for a solid connection at the airbrush and compressor points to prevent any air leakage. The "standard" metal paint cup has a screw-on cap to maintain its seal and prevent spillage while working while the other two larger capacity cups are clear plastic, a nice touch to help you see the paint levels while you work. Last, but certainly not least, it has a nice weight and balance to it that fits comfortably in the hand, and the trigger is easy to operate/control without requiring too much pullback on the needle for easy control while painting. The locking nut at the rear can also be used to set the paint and airflow combination to stay consistent with just a press of the trigger. This set comes with everything you need to get started in airbrushing, except the air compressor and the paint of course. Very well made and nicely boxed. I got this kit to airbrush D&D miniatures. I may do a 40k army but I am not sure I want to start another life just yet. I have heard stories about what 40k does to a person. I would like to start trying out different effects air brushing gives to minis though so I got this kit to start myself out. I do not know much about airbrush so I will update this review if I find problems out as I start to and use this kit. ... show more

    • Excellent starter kit with a well-functioning airbrush at a great price point.
One of the biggest issues for newcomers to airbrushing is the art of keeping the airbrush clean and operational. The last thing you want are paint puddles or a clogged nozzle toward the end of your build process. This kit includes all the cleaning brushes, a full set of replacement o-rings, and multiple nozzles and paint cups that make it easy to keep everything running smoothly. The airbrush itself is nicely designed, fits properly in hand, and works correctly from the start. Whether this will give the lifespan of an Iwata airbrush (at many times the price), I can't say, but if you're just starting out and want to give airbrushing a go, you really can't go wrong here -- all you'll need is paint and a compressor and you're good to go. ... show more
