I've been airbrushing for over 30 years and recently picked this kit up to enable a little ease in airbrushing around my model railroad without having to drag a compressor around. Overall it's a good little airbrush. This is a SINGLE-ACTION brush, not a double-action. PROS: Lightweight metal construction with a plastic handle on the end. Adjustable needle stop to keep you from applying more paint than you intend. Two paint cups are provided: one small metal cup with a screw-on top, one larger clear plastic cup with a snap-on top. Easy to hole portable air compressor that the airbrush screws onto. USB charging. CONS: The plastic handle is made of cheap plastic and screws on to the airbrush with very thin threads. It is very easy to cross-thread if you are not careful. No front cap to protect the needle when storing. Instructions are rather lacking for a first-time beginner who has never picked up an airbrush. NEUTRAL: I'm a double-action airbrush guy, so single action use with this feels different as I'm more atuned to adjusting the spray on the fly, not with a needle-limiting stop. Also because it's single-action, the air compressor stays on continuously while using the airbrush, whether you are spraying or not, until you turn it off. You may find your battery running low quite often if you don't turn it off when not using. I got this to add to my crafting supplies. It was a little bit of a learning curve to figure out the perfect spray, but once I got it down I was golden. I love that's it's rechargeable and very portable. I think it's affordable and it's okay to clean. I think I may get a second one to try air brushing cookies. You can use an airbrush for a ton of different projects, so I think it's worth the small investment. ... show more

    • Under-equipped but functional
This airbrush is ok for light uses. My biggest complaint is that the lids don't stay on the resevoir tanks well. I ended up not using them because they kept popping off. They also didn't have holes in them to allow proper flow of the medium. Other than that this is a pretty standard wireless airbrush. The motor is fine and the adjustment knob works to control the flow. I would have appreciated some cleaning brushes with it, as this style of airbrush can be difficult to clean, but its not a deal breaker. My favorite thing about this one was how satiny the base feels in the hand. It offers a nice grip while looking beautiful. ... show more

When I first got this airbrush I thought the motor was going to be large and uncomfortable to work with. Luckily, it's very light and situated far enough forward that it does not get in the way of painting. The motor is relatively quiet and delivers a very even coat of paint. It also came fully charged so you could use it right out of the box. It was also relatively easy to clean. One thing of note. this is NOT a duel action brush. This has an on button that starts the stream of air and then you control a toggle for how much paint is used. I had never used an airbrush before getting this one. Figuring it out took a little time, but it wasn't too difficult. It was easy for me to understand, and using the airbrush to decorate my cake yielded great results. The precision it offers is perfect for a beginner like me in cake decorating. I prefer using the airbrush over adding too much coloring to the heavy cream I was using previously.
