AIR LIFT 1000 Series Air Suspension Kits are designed to work with speifici coil-spring vehicles. This kit eliminates sag and features 1000 pounds of leveling capacity. It installs inside coil spring to eliminate bottoming out and is highly durable. Air Lift's 1000 Series Air Spring kit is the easy, inexpensive solution to vehicle "bottom out" events, sway and body roll and rough rides that are often the result of inadequate or uneven rear suspension. Consisting of two durable, easy to install and use pressurized cylinders, this kit provides up to 1,000 pounds of load leveling power, ensuing a safe, smooth and level ride when you need it. Inflate via easy access air line. Inflation can be done with any air compression tool capable of delivering the pressure, ranging from a dedicated onboard air compression system to portable air compression tools built into jump-start tools or even a hand pump. The cylinders are constructed of rugged, durable materials and feature high burst strength. Have peace of mind with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Air Lift Company warrants its Air Lift 1000 products to the original retail purchaser against manufacturing defects when used on catalog-listed applications on cars, vans, light trucks and motor homes under normal operating conditions for as long as Air Lift manufactures the product. Works. Install is ok, and seems to be quality.
Firstly, these were purchased as a resort to not having found a good lift option… but they do thee trick for what I estimate will be needed (rough dirt roads with a load in the back). So that’s where I’m coming from. Overall - I give these a buy for sure. Cons: 1. They do need to be installed warm or you’ll fight them quite a bit more. 2. The lines /T seem small/thin. 3. You need to get your vehicle higher than a normal tire change to have room to work. Pros: 1. Once you understand the importance of warming the bladders to collapse them - they are quite manageable (I’m older and could squeeze them in there). 2. The lines install in places that make it easy to get good spots to zip tie them safely away from exhaust or the lower parts (mine are next to brake lines etc. up against the floor of the car). 3. Testing for leaks - easy and if you warmed the hoses (hot/boiling water in a cup and hold it in there for 30+ seconds) to slip over the barbed fittings, they work very well. 4. I tested at 30psi for 15 mins after installing and they held it very well. I since dropped it to 15psi and that stabilized the ride and provided about 1” of lift to the rear when loaded. 5. Safer than it was before install - Less bounce, and a little stiffer. Feels like a newer car now. (2014 Sienna). I installed it through the rubber grommet in the tire jack area, and drilled a 5/16” hold beside the 12v outlet on the pass side rear. This way it’s inside and kept clean when changing pressures. I think it’s important to use the heat shield on the exhaust bend and maintain even distance from it (not let it touch at the bend). This requires some creative bending/forming of the shield, but it works very well to prevent overheating/melting the bladder). Final note: hot water is your friend.. but don’t fill the bladder with it accidentally.. make sure you keep it free from moisture that could damage the valve later. Also, if you install with the T for even distribution, keep the extra valve to replace it if it gets damaged. Good luck, it’s a great add for reasonable cost (maybe a little $$$^).

A must for towing with the Sienna
Holy buckets of awesome, Batman. 2016 Toyota Sienna just over 110k miles. We tow a Rockwood Freedom 1980 pop-up camper with five kids. We did a 2-hour trip couple weeks ago, with 3 kid bikes on the back. It was not good. Sloppy steering, Had to take parking lot entrances at an angle, etc. Installation was super easy (friend with a four point lift). I followed e-trailer's video guide on YouTube. I used a single valve, though the kit comes with two valves so you can do separate levels for left and right. We just drove 8 hours with these installed inflated too 25. We went from the right hand side of Michigan to middle Wisconsin. No more sag. It is a night and day difference. Turns at freeway speed: I couldn't tell I was towing anything. Super crisp, no body roll. I cannot understate how awesome these are. Well worth it

Nice quick added capacity for a Sienna
Overall utility: Easy solution for a temporary need. Put these in a 2018 Sienna to help move across states. Turns out stock Siennas have very little load capacity. Without these the load pushed down the rear almost 3 inches. Unloaded at 30 psi, they raised the rear 1 inch and only allowed 1 inch of overall sag. No idea what the weigh was (tools), but this is the functional impact. Rode normally on the interstate with no apparent compromise. Take note of the tire sag - it’s a van after all so don’t think these make a van into a truck. When home I decided to leave them in and just lower the pressure to 10 for a normal ride in case they are needed again. No harm to be there. Install: Lots of good YouTube videos for the install. Directions were unclear and indicated the discs go below the bags. So we did... DO NOT do this. One has now fallen out. Might stay in with a zip tie but the shape of the right spring leaves a gap for it to wiggle out. Will try to get a replacement. Otherwise these go in really well. Suggest running line wrap to protect from rubbing. And as suggested on YouTube, run the lines up to the jack kit well. There are a couple holes to mount the valves for easy pressure adjustment. Take care with the air hose tho as it doesn’t take much. Bottom line: these are great. Perfect easy solution to add load capacity to a van.

Surprisingly effective and easy to install!
My 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan was sagging in the back under load. If I used a hitch rack, pulled a trailer, or just loaded it up with people and luggage, you could see the back squatting and the hitch receiver would sometimes scrape the ground. These bags immediately solved the squat, and firmed up the ride in a very noticeable way. Upon installation, I used my compressor to air them up to 35psi. This made the ride VERY firm, like a sports car. It was fun to hit corners with no sway, but that's probably not the best setting for a minivan. I dropped it to ~25psi, which is a sweet spot for my everyday driving. These bags have now been on my van for two months, and have held at ~25psi since they were installed. No detectable leaks or failures. If you have a few tools and consider yourself reasonably capable person, you can absolutely handle this installation. The instructions are clear. There are a few helpful videos on YouTube. Don't be intimidated. One negative observation: while the hose clamps are clearly effective, they are quite flimsy and prone to damage during installation. No matter how careful I was, several of the little tabs broke off, making the difficult to move them into place. Once in place, they seem to do the job as designed. Two thumbs up. A surprisingly good value.

Good air system for keeping your rear from sagging. used it on a 2014 Toyota Sienna.
I bought this for our 2014 Toyota Sienna. It fits perfectly and went in fairly easily. I simply jacked up one side of the van, placing the jack under the arrow indicator on the side of the van. I raised that back tire off the ground. I then squeezed the air out of one air bag, and put the cap back on the nipple. It easily fit between the coil springs on the van. Once in, I pulled the cap off and the air bag took it's normal form in side the coil spring. I then put the protector ring over the hose, and I slid the hose clamp a few inches up the hose. i ran the hoe in the top of the coil spring, and I slid the protector ring in as well. I then ran the silicon tubing (hose) to the receiver hitch, where placed a T for the tubing from the other side. I Will be redoing my tubing because of an incident and I will put the T near the drivers side air bag. I will run the tubing form the passenger side across the axle to that T and connect there. This is not how the instructions suggest. But the heat shield is insufficient for protecting the tubing (which will drop on to your exhaust, it you run it along the exhaust, rendering your air system useless). I only gave 4 stars, because I followed the instructions and it caused my system to fail on our first trip. Now, I expected it to fail, because I did not see how it would stay in place. So I think it is as much my fault. But I followed directions specifically. By doing it the new way, I only have to cross over the exhaust, so I think this will work to make the system last. I have note redone mine yet to test , because I do not have enough tubing, and it is not available locally. i have not taken the time to look up the manufacturer to get some, and Amazon does not offer it for sale. I will also say, after installing the system, i aired it up and the van performed well. I put my Yakima swing man bike rack(heavy) on the hitch, and loaded it does with all 4 bikes. I aired up to 50 lbs, and the van was level. It drove great and I was really impressed. I would buy this air bag system for any vehicle that has rear coil springs. Just be wary on installation of your exhaust. Minimize exposure of the tubing to the exhaust. It will come in contact if they run together. Unless you drill a bunch of holes and use a bunch of ties. I was not drilling up my new $45K minivan. Update 10/27/15 I did order replacement tubing form the manufacturer. It was pricey for what I got. But it it was integral for repairing my system. I found a better route over the rear axle. I have traveled 10,000 miles since and no issues. i hauled 4 bikes on the heavy Yakima swing-man rack for 3 weeks during a move. The Toyota did great, no sagging. this system is fantastic if you have a van. Even just putting people in the third row will make it sag some. Not with this kit. I may upgrade to on-board air with gauges at some point. But a portable compressor has worked thus far. I just eyeball for level, and don't air over about 50 lbs pressure. THe van handles much better with this kit too. Even aired up and unloaded the ride does not get overly harsh, in my opinion,

Great solution for hard-working minivans.
Got this for my 2015 Toyota Sienna, which I regularly use to haul heavy things. Love the van, but the rear suspension is very soft and the back end rides very low if the van is full of people or cargo. I've had my trailer hitch bottom out on speed bumps a few times. I read about this product on Sienna Chat, and decided to give it a try. Installation was pretty straightforward; I'm a car guy and comfortable with repairs, and it took me about three hours. Roughly one hour to jack the vehicle, remove the back wheels, and install the airbags. Roughly two hours to figure out a way to route the air hoses that avoided the hot exhaust, gave convenient access to the inflation valve, and looked clean. I ended up routing the hose up inside the wheel liner to the gas fill nozzle, and pulled it through the rubber boot. Just got back from a 1500 mile trip with a family of four, all their luggage, and a full load of Christmas presents. Much less sag in the rear end, and much improved handling. After playing with several different pressures, I settled on 25psi (max is 32). Since returning home, I've left the bags inflated to 25psi, and I think I like the handling and ride better even when the van is unloaded. Overall, very well-made product that is probably the single best improvement I've made to my van.

No more bottoming out!
We have a 2015 Toyota Sienna that we load down each summer with a Thule platform bike rack on the hitch, 3 paddle boards, 4 bikes, 4 people, a dog and all the camping gear. After bottoming out one too many times, we bought this Airlift system on Amazon. Then we took it to Automotive Outfitters and they installed it for us, along with a wireless enabled automatic compressor ( made by the same company) that they recommended. The compressor comes with a simple remote control that clips onto the car’s window visor. Long story short, we just got back from a 9-day trip where it got plenty of use. We didn’t bottom out once even on steep driveways and pot-holed gravel backroads. We couldn’t be happier! And are SO GLAD we got the remote control system!! So easy and does what it says it will do. We were told to keep it at 5-10 psi, when not loaded. After we loaded the car, we stood outside the vehicle and set the remote to 35 or 40 psi and watched as the suspension was raised back. The system will keep whatever you set it at so with changes in heat or elevation we would occasionally hear the compressor turn on to let in (or out) a little air to maintain our setting. Again, we are so happy with this unit, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND combining it with the wireless automatic compressor remote.

The Air Lift 1000 is the answer toToyota Highlander owners sagging rear issue.
I own a 2017 Toyota Highlander LEPlus, I occasionally tow a 10’X6’ box trailer but the rear suspension just sags and bottoms out. I have discussed this issue with local 4X4 shops, spring distributors and I just gave up fixing this issue. Before I stuffed a football into both rear springs, I purchased an Air Lift 1000 and I am glad I did. I installed my air bag with the airline pointed down, I than removed the stock Bumpstop and installed the new bumbstop on top of the bag. I countersunk the nut from the original bumbstop into the new bumpstop. I get zero sag from the rear while towing, this is the best and most cost effective product for Highlander owners.
