This was a birthday gift for my 7y/o who wanted to make bracelets for her friends. This set has lots of pretty, sparkly metal beads and charms, as well as plastic/acrylic ones. The metal ones are like large-hole beads I’ve seen in craft stores, so new and different ones could be bought and used interchangeably. My daughter could twist the end off the bracelet and put it back on after stringing beads with ease. I like that it came with 5 bracelets, enough for her and her friends, but what looked like 2 wrap bracelets in the advertising photo is actually 1 wrap bracelet and one slinky bracelet with no opening, so you can’t put beads on it! My daughter put it on her arm and immediately took it back off because the little hairs on her arm got caught in the coils. So, 5 bracelets to string and wear became only 4 usable ones. The wrap bracelet is simple to string, you just slip the beads on the end and secure on either side with a little rubber stopper that you push over the ends of the bracelet. They’re a tight fit, obviously, so can be difficult for young fingers to get on. We ended up using one of the necklaces since you can’t put beads on one of the bracelets, but the beads wouldn’t go over the end of the necklace! 3 of the 4 necklaces had jump rings too big to get a bead over! I had to get pliers to open the jump ring that connects the extender chain to the necklace, slip the beads on, and then reattach the extender chain. Overall, my daughter loved it. What little girl doesn’t like sparkly beads and charms? But as a consumer, this set could have been even more user friendly with a little better quality control and 5 bracelets that could actually be strung. ... show more

I expected these to be simple kids beads but they are much nicer than that. There is a lot here in a beautiful small gift box. My kids love to make and remake these often. Great for travel because the package is so small.
