This Aigybobo Arts and Crafts Painting Kit Wooden Treasure Box comes with a heart shaped wooden box, five different colors of paint, two paint brushes, glitter glue, assorted gem stickers, and a paint tray. The treasure box has a mirror inside. The lid is held closed with a small magnet. The hinges are designed to hold the lid of the box open. The seams in the wood aren’t matched up very well and it could use some sanding. For the price, I expected the box to be better constructed. This is the kind of project my grandchild likes to do and she was happy painting and decorating the box. She did use leftover paint from other projects so that she could have more of the colors she likes without having to try to mix colors. Overall this wooden treasure box is a cute little gift for an older toddler or elementary aged child. The price point is fair for this gift but I was a little disappointed with the limited colors (only 5). I wish there was a pink color and more glitter options instead of just the gold glitter. I liked how there was a mirror inside, that was a fun touch and makes the box the ability to be a jewelry box. The decorative rhinestones were great and loved the variety.     • Treasures and Trinkets...little kids love to collect them and now they can design their own keeper!
Every kid I've ever known, including myself when I was young, loves gathering treasures. Sometimes it's a stone, sometimes it's a plastic unicorn. The point is that their treasures mean something to them even if no one else understands. So having a box to put the smaller stuff in just makes sense and gives children a sense of ownership. Add in the fact that kids can paint the box however they want and use provided stickers if they choose and this is a really terrific gift for a young child. The mirror on the inside is a nice touch and lends a bit of ballast to the lid to keep it open. The kit is simple and doesn't include a lot of paint but certainly enough to do the job. Sometimes less is more when it comes to craft projects. I know I have been daunted myself by kits that seem to have far too many materials and options. Gotten as a gift for my 5 y/o. She's been using her nice jewelry box for a candy haul storage. So what better gift to give than this hinged heart box that she can decorate any way she wants with a mixture of "stay out, Mom and Dad, this is my secret candy stash" and fancy jewel stickers? The lid stays open pretty well and the mirror on the back helps a bit with the weight distribution. The paint, stickers, and glitter glue (way better than glitter to put on glue for sure) stay on well and I'm sure she will redecorate a couple of times so it'll get a nice couple of layers on. Ordered this for my niece to paint and keep treasures in. She liked how she could mix colors on the palette and design to her liking. Not a lot of paint, but gets the job done. She used most of the stickers to decorate the outside lid. Super cute
