I thought I had found the perfect solution for the two cars that I share with my kids who all have iPhones but I have a Google Pixel 5A. The description for this product says that it works with Apple Carplay so I assumed that it would also work with Android Auto. That is not the case. It appears that the USB C connector in this cable is for charging only. There are no data connections for Android Auto. The Impact is a pretty thick case, so I was worried but still decided to give it a shot. Fits perfect. Instantly recognized by Carplay on my 2020 Subaru Ascent, I was getting sick of my 14 Pro Max flying around every time I accelerated, now it tucks in sideways thanks to the angled lightning port. Braiding looks very nice, and the coil stays out of the cupholders yet still allows me to input addresses on Maps without having to use the sluggish Subaru touch screen. I've had a couple of cables die on me in the car before, could be because of all the pulling from the phone not being secure.
