To whom it may concern, This AOC PRO monitor in my opinion is worth the money if possible. Realistically on paper everything about this monitor looks outstanding. I recently received my monitor and excitedly hooked it up. It’s easy to assemble maybe ten minutes at the max to fully have hooked up and running. Far as the specs go, I am no monitor guru not even close. I have this monitor running for my PS5 as of now. With that being said the games I am recently playing looks and runs smoothly. Even this monitor is more then needed for the PS5. If you did not know the PS5 only will runs up to 120Hz and 1080p supported with 4K HDR. I will build a PC a little later so my mind set was to just go ahead and have a decent monitor ready for that sense I was going to be spending the money. I did see some videos on YouTube expressing some flashing issues and some flickering issues but I have yet to have any. If I do run into any of those issues I saw from YouTube and or any new ones I will update my review. As of now it is a very beautiful monitor. Kind of heavy to hood with one hand but it is very nice. Use it for the desk and was able to get rid of the other two monitors and the switch for going between my work and home computer. Works great and has more screen room than both of my other monitors along with the laptop.

    • Really bad backlight glow
Size: 27" QHD 240Hz Style: AGON Pro
This has really bad backlight glow that makes playing dark games really distracting and not a good experience. It looks good in games with good lighting but once it gets dark the glow in the corners of the screen becomes really apparent and distracting.

    • The monitor arrived with a dead pixel on the top right of the screen.

The item arrived looking very nice, however, when I turned the montior on I noticed a dead pixel. The features of the monitor are excellent but I was dissapointed of the dead pixel. I sent it back to amazon and ordered another one and I'm hoping the next one works better.

    • PBP does work but...
Size: 49" Dual QHD 165Hz Style: AOC AGON
Assuming you have an adequate video card, this a great gaming monitor. My primary use case: I run a MacBook Pro M1 Max and PC simultaneously. I had some issues with PBP early on, and I actually started the return process, but I found a solution. Initially the monitor would lose the USB-C connection whenever the screen saver engaged or the monitor went to sleep. I had to either unplug the monitor or disconnect/reconnect the USB-C or both to get it working again. It was a pain. I was using the USB-C cable (connected to the Mac). I replaced the AOC USB-C cable with a TB4 cable, and it's been working great ever since. I was not happy having to use a $75 dollar cable to make the PBP work properly, but it does work now. I'm keeping the monitor. Tip: If you use PBP, you can use the monitor USB hub which works great. I've found using a Mac and PC is a bit of a challenge because of the difference in keyboard configurations, so I have a keyboard that is compatible with Mac and PC, but not wanting to use the monitors USB hub (less wires), I use synergy. It's allows you to share KM between multiple machines. It works great between a Mac and PC if keyboard is compatible with both. I'm very happy with it. March 26, 2023 Update at the 5 month mark: Using PBP - If you're using the HDMI ports, PBP really is plug and play, but when you mix HDMI with USB-C, it works, but you may have to mess with some of the video settings on the monitor connected to USB-C. I had a M1 Macbook Pro Max connected to USB-C. I had to manually change the MBP video settings to 2560x1440 using an aftermarket application (on board MBP settings didn't have that option). Using SwitchResX I was able to get 2560x440 @120hz, and it maintained the setting through reboot. Also, waking the MBP up was a chore sometimes. Occasionally I had to either turn off/on the monitor, reboot the MBP, and/or disconnect/reconnect USB-C. AS for DP, forget it. I have yet to find a way to get PBP to work properly with DP. In PBP mode the monitor connected to DP aspect ratio will not change (on that 1/2 of the screen monitor maintains native ratio of 32:9-really stretched out), no matter the settings on your video card. In PBP mode, I got the same result connecting DP using a M1 MBP Max, M1 IPad Pro, and a PC. On the PC I tested using both an AMD VEGA 64, and NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070 PCIe cards. Bottom-line, if you use PBP often, both monitors on HDMI is pretty much seamless. I use the DP connection whenever I'm NOT in PBP mode. Assuming your video card can handle it, DP can take full advantage of this monitors capabilities. Comment: Even though HDMI 2.0 (monitor's ports) can handle this monitor's specs, my RTX 3070 (HDMI 2.1) connected to the monitor's HDMI will not get 5k resolution natively. I had to create a custom resolution using the Nvidia control panel, but I could only get it to 120hz so far, but it does seem stable. ... show more

Ordered the 49" DQHD to replace a Neo Odyssey G9 that had a screen defect. G-sync works fine on my 3080 via DP. Preferred the more aggressive curve of the G9 but didn't want to play the Samsung lottery again, especially given the price difference between these two displays. I don't anticipate pushing many (if any) games to 165 FPS at DQHD res as it is, much less 240, so I'm not concerned about the hz difference. To be fair, I haven't tried any HDR yet, but this has been a great display so far. ... show more

The quality of the actual monitor is pretty great and the colors are not bad either. I bought it so I could game competitively but also be a part of my setup for school and work use. Great monitor honestly just really dam expensive.
