I bought this to daily drive this phone, but it proved difficult for some of things I do. It runs Android 8.1.0. It does not have Google Play Services. I did install APKPure's app on it and I was able to add any app I wanted to it, but they don't necessarily work. For instance, I installed the app for my bluetooth watch and it connects but it will not do push notifications. It will run games and keep games in sync with other devices if it doesn't require google play services. Toon Blast works great, Toy Blast will play, but doesn't sync with other devices. Can't use it to purchase in-game items. Needs Google Play Services. Works well with the installed apps. I can not update Chrome, but all the other apps I could update. I installed a touch keyboard on it (SwiftKey) and it makes it easier to type. Installed Messenger from Facebook, worked fine. Installed WAZE, works with navigation and GPS well. Installed an app for my security cameras(WiFi IP Cams), it worked. Installed a bunch of 2FA apps, does those perfectly. Tried to install 7Now for 7-11 Delivery, can't do that, no way to pay for items. Can't cast to Chromecast. Can't use any banking or payment services apps because...you need google services. I did install Vivaldi as a browser, rather than use Chrome. You can get to your banking services that way. I could get to gmail through the browser and any other google service. It's definitely a "single app" phone. You won't get push notifications from Messenger if you leave it and go to another app. You have to be in that app or it has to be the last used. The speaker is freakin' loud. You will never miss a phone call if you have it maxed out. Also makes it super easy to find when you misplace it and call it from another phone. The flashlight is great, 1 button push. Super bright. Updates are fairly good. I was worried reading some of the other reviews but it looks like it's been patched more than a few times. Since I got it I've received the phone, I've received 2 operating system updates. The screen is small and sometimes it's hard to be precise when touching it. Cameras are not good. It is not a good camera. It is good for scanning QR codes though. I got the charging cradle for it, and it works great. USB-C charges it fast. Used it a lot as a hot spot for my laptop. It would last all day without an issue. Works with T-Mobile or AT&T and the NVMO providers. I used it with Ting and Tello(T-Mobile), worked great. While I have upgraded to the AGM Glory G1 Pro since purchasing this, I still use it as a phone for my work. Works great as a phone, call quality is good, bluetooth is great with headphones and keyboards, it does everything pretty good. I would give it 5 stars if it had google play services, but I understand why it doesn't. If there was an M8 to come out, and it was a full fledged smart phone with good cameras, some decent processor and ram and the full google play services, I would use it all day every day. I don't really recommend this phone. It's huge, big as it looks, hard to hold unless you have gorilla hands. Also, it is only going to work on T-mobile now that AT&T requires one have a specifically certified LTE phone. Just having the needed bands isn't enough -- to wit, this phone is missing many of the US bands, so it will work but will lack service where another phone would be able to make calls and use data. It is running a pretty full version of Android OS, just lacks Google Apps. You can indeed install pretty much any APK file that doesn't require Google Apps. For example, Spotify WILL work on this phone, or at least did when I tried. But consider the experience, Android apps are not optimized to work on such a slow CPU or a 320x240 LCD screen. They do visually scale for the most part, but it's actively unpleasant. Basic phone features, alarm .etc seems to work. Phone seems reliable, has okay standby life, doesn't reset in the pocket .etc. I switched to a Nokia 6300 4G for better service and more compact size. It has very limited app selection, but apps are better suited to it because they are specifically written for use on a 2.4" screen and T9 data entry. ... show more

The positives: The screen doesn't bother my eyes unlike the vast majority of smartphones, which for me is its best feature. The phone fits in my pocket more comfortably than I imagined. The torch light is impressive and the battery life is good. In terms of being a dumb phone, it feels biased against quality more so than quantity, which is great for me because it helps me use my phone less without requiring I abstain from general smartphone functionality. And it's reliable. The negatives: Having an adaptor for the USB port in lieu of a headphone jack seems unneccessary. And the speaker, while very loud, has that subtle quality to its sound that tells me it may not be built to withstand very loud volumes without suffering some damage. I certainly don't know this; but I don't feel comfortable going past 80% volume using system sounds alone. The negatives are a little disappointing, but that's it. I am not sure whether it is a defect or the phone didn't support the network. T-Mobile compatibility checker indicated that this phone is partially supported, in fact, VoLTE is not fully supported. But still, I tried a T-Mobile postpaid and it indeed worked. However, the incoming call gets disconnected after 2 rings. I checked the configuration to see if there is any setting enabled to disconnect the call after 2 rings and I didn't see anything. So I believe the phone is not fully supported or it is defective. Outgoing call works fantastically fine from T-Mobile. Voice clarity is fantastic. I tried AT&T pre-paid and it said 3G. That is what they mentioned in the description as well. Having said that, I am going to miss this phone for sure. Because it is a perfect phone. It is rugged and easy to use. Speaker is more than loud. I don't know whether AGM is going to release an upgraded version or not, probably M8 which supports VoLTE fully. I returned it, sadly. ... show more

This was a total disappointment for me. I bought this so that my elderly mom can have what's app on a phone that had the old school features that she was accostom to. Total waste! the what's app is problematic to say the least. It gave problems to install (does not download from the play store). When you finally get it to install it only works for short time. So fustrated with this as I don't live with my mom and realize that it was actually the phone had a problem and not that my mom was not answering the phone. Stupes ( in my Trini accent). I gave 2 stars because it is durable and rings loud would have been a good buy if the what's app worked. ... show more
