I have been using this for years, when my hair is long , I get waves , when it is short I get curls waves or even a beachy hair look. I use very little product and apply it to damp hair. I then either clip my hair into Small twisted sections on my head or squeeze my hair to create waves. I can also create a bit of curl. I suggest you experiment with the amount, the dryness / dampness and if you want it on the ends of your hair or spread through out. It is a versatile product for a natural look. The BEST feature is It is re - workable. During the day if you can refresh your hair with damp hands? It perks right back up. As this is not a drying gel or hair fix , this is a fabulous feature for long days at events. It remains soft Bouncy and easy to style. The results on a fine curly hair are not that great for the price of the product. I get more bouncy curls using another product (shea base). The other downside side is that I see more tangled hair when using this product. By the way, this is in south Florida weather.
