I am just a home mechanic that is looking to remove a few door dings and other small dents. I was able to use it on a couple of small dents in my hood and a couple in a door. They did not come out like it was never there, but the dents do look much better. The rods on this kit are great, they are solid the handles are covered and easy to hold onto, but there is some room for improvement on the other components. It includes various tip to use when working oh the dents and these tips screw into the ends of the rods. These tips are made of a hard plastic. So, if anyone has ever had a metal rod with a plastic tip on it can probably recall that it doesn’t always go well. Especially when you are putting pressure on it and hammering it from the other side. Now, I will say maybe these tips will surprise me and will hold up over time, but I am thinking would it have cost that much more to have metal tips with a rubber coating just like the handle? I think that would have made this kit that much better. Overall, I am happy with this kit, and I am sure it will work fine for the few occasions that I need to use it, but I think it could be improved to have a better value.

This works perfect for those small dents and dings that you just can't seem to get to. I had one on the front fender of my car that appeared that someone just leaned on my car and dented it. I didn't want to take the entire fender off, but was instead able to feed one of these rods though through the wheel well. Was super easy to use for what I used it for. It didn't crease the metal or wrinkle the pain so I don't know how easy it would be to get something like that out, but it worked perfect for my task.

This unit comes with the tips uninstalled and I was concerned about the durability with just the feel of them. I quickly broke the tip trying it out. I am not experienced with this repair and that might have played a factor but I didn’t us much force and took almost no effort to break.

Had high hopes for this tool. After watching a few videos I gave it a shot. Doesn’t have any leveraging rings but I was able to get one dent . I tried to gently press around and heard it snapping. The tips are hard plastic and do not thread into the steel handles. Broke two trying to get it into the space. It’s too cheap to work properly

I'm no paintless dent repair person in the slightest... those folks have serious skills to make dents disappear. However I wanted to practice on our car that got hit on the side because someone wasn't paying attention when they were driving and decided to just drive into the side of the car...smh The metal rods on this are nice. They are pretty substantial and not crappy. However, the little plastic handle tool that you use to screw the tips into is really crappy cheap thin plastic. Why is that not metal? I have another one from another kit I have and it's metal and when you hold it, doesn't feel like it's going to break. The little hammer they supply is junk with this kit. Mine is already rusting so I assume it's been sitting somewhere... Get a better little hammer. The plastic tip that come with this kit are not great either. I wish they were made of delrin. My other kit that's what they are made of and it's nice. I'm not entire sure how long these tips will last...they just feel really cheap. Good thing is you can get a new little hammer, tip holder and tips.. so I guess it's not ahuge deal but still sort of a pain that it didn't come with better stuff. The bag that holds everything is fine and has more space that you could easily add a few more metal handles/tools in it. Overall it's not bad, but it could be better. The best thing is the metal rods in this whole set.

This is a heavy duty set. It includes many different tips and handles. The tips are roughly molded and still have a "seam" showing. This may get in the way and has to be touched up before use.
