  • It' A Winner
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
I've been spraying paint for 60 years, these spray guns are a lot of bang for the buck, as good as many of the high priced spray guns I've owned. They lay down paint as good as any other professional gun for a fraction of the price, it's a winner. As advertised this LVLP spray gun when paired to a small compressors all the way down to 20 gallon capacity, it will do a fantastic job. I personally found it to do an excellent job shooting Acrylic Urethane, lacquer, single stage, base coat, clear coat, and primers. For the price of this AeroPro R500 A610, purchase three of them, so you don't have to change spray nozzles, set one up for primer, one for base coat/Acrylic Urethane/ Clear Coat, you'll still pay less than one expensive Devilbiss gun. Don't believe all the negative hype that these AeroPro R500 A610 LVLP spray guns are junk, mechanically they're excellent quality and mechanically sound. I read one review that contained a complaint that the pressure regulator lens is plastic, fact is that it works, second as any old timer knows who's a bit creative, either purchase one with a glass lens, or simply make a paper flap to protect it from over spray, easier yet, wipe the thing off. You purchased a great spray gun for a great price with accessories. As always, it's the guy squeezing the trigger that's important, that comes with experience and time. I've read a few negative complaints about the AEROPRO R500-610, it was obvious from the complaints they more than likely originated from inexperienced users. Complaints that the spray gun tip could not be removed, possibly cross threaded. The fact is this complaint is not all that uncommon, over the years I've found a few spray gun tips that were excessively tight, generally the tip is not cross threaded, just over tightened during assembly, with the proper tools, experience, and patience you can get the tip loose without damaging the spray gun. Leaking spray guns, generally, during my 60 plus years of spray painting, I've found that a leaking spray gun is due to over pressure, water getting into the air line, improper cleaning. A leaking spray gun is a common problem amongst professionals and amateur sprayers alike. It’s often caused by the fluid nozzle becoming loose or dried paint blocking the needle, another words, cleanliness is an absolute must with spray guns. A leaking spray gun can also be caused by a damaged needle packing, this falls back to improper cleaning/maintenance, over pressure, etc.. Paint sputtering: this usually means that your nozzle simply isn’t on tight enough, or that the spray gun wasn't cleaned properly. Spray gun painting, especially automotive spray painting is an art that must be learned over time, most of these problems are caused by "cockpit error, not the equipment, far too many are too quick to blame the equipment. Number one, use only the proper solvents when cleaning, the wrong cleaning solutions can damage, or turn your spray gun into a useless piece of junk. Update: I purchased a second AeroPro A610 so I could have one gun setup for primers, and one for base, and clear coat and I purchased a 5 piece nozzle set to handle all types of paint and primer types. My only con is that in general, all these spray guns seem to focus on how pretty they are and have a slippery finish, the handles should have a textured surface, it's like that Glock pistol you own, you don't want it slipping around in your hand so you have complete control. Anyway, the AEROPRO 500-A610 IS A Winner. ... show more

  • Good budget gun for small compressor
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
Very good gun for the price! This is the same gun as the drizzle d1 and there are other copies. I used a no name China gun and the quality wasn’t as good as this one and it was the same price. This gun is also closer to its sfcm rating while the no name China took way more air. I’m using a crappy harbor freight 21 gallon 4.0 cfm compressor. It can’t keep up at full speed but it’s good enough to paint in panels with out slowing down much. If you’re going to buy a budget gun, get the Aeropro or Inokraft. They definitely are a higher quality. ... show more

  • Lvlp superior to hvlp
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
I am spraying custom finishes water based top coat. Been doing it with hvlp 1.4 sprayer. Works pretty well but my 4cfm compressor can’t keep up. It can keep up with this LVLP sprayee with 1.3 tip. The atomization is very fine… perfect. I would recommend over hvlp. The overspray is much less. For example, when i sprayed 25 cabinet doors in my 2-car garage with hvlp, the garage fills with haze. With lvlp, it is not hazy at all. I am not saying that you won’t need to mask, but there is less overspray. The paint just lays onto the surface. I installed the gauge and that worjs well to adjust air pressure, but it does add extra bulk and i might not use the gauge when painting inside cabinets. One thing is clear though is that you myst keep the vent hole in the cup cap cleared and clean and clean each time. Otherwise you will get vapor locked after about 20 seconds. This us true with all gravity fed sprayers and it is very important. I asked chatgpt to compare this model with others listed on amazon and this compared to be best. One other thing. It does not come with 1/4 inch male air hose nozzle, so you will need to get one that is compatible with your hose. I haven’t tried this yet with my 2.6 cfm compressor yet. But it seems to use about 30% less air than hvlp. ... show more

  • Best gun for small compressors
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
This world great at only 30psi. I have a small 3cfm compressor, and I can paint continuously. The pattern is great, and very adjustable. I am painting my chain link fence, and using exterior latex paint straight from the can!

  • You won’t be disappointed
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
I was honestly impressed with this spray gun. I bought it for automotive clear coat work, and it exceeded my expectations. The atomization is excellent, the spray pattern is consistent, and it lays down clear extremely smooth with very little overspray. It’s comfortable to hold, easy to adjust, and cleans up without any hassle. For the price, I don’t think there’s a better value on the market. Whether you’re a DIY painter or a professional looking for a dependable budget gun, I highly recommend it. I’d buy it again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great tool
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
It's a great spray gun. I really like it. I sprayed 2 coats dtm epoxy primer and 2 coats black paint on my truck frame and axle housings and it came out great. It's easy to set up and to take down to clean. I did upgrade to the disposable cup system from harbor freight which I like alot.

  • Great gun for the price, but cleaning is a must for any user
Size: A610 Spray Gun Kit
This gun is excellent quality for the price. I have been doing DIY paint jobs and small touch up repairs for my friends for years and I have owned several gravity paint guns. This gun is high quality for the price. Even the paint finish of the actual paint gun is better than cheaper paint guns that I have owned. It has a dull powder coated finish. I have owned guns where the actual paint strips off when applying cleaners that is necessary after painting. It comes with three nozzle configurations thats necessary when spraying clear coats, primers and finer paints. As I have seen other reviews the tools included can be used to disassemble the gun and clean the parts. But the nozzles are torqued tight from the factory and I used a workbench vise to hold the gun so I could break the nut loose. I just sprayed some clear coat through it and it was smooth as butter. I will not break it down to four stars for this, BUT THE ONLY ISSUE I see that it comes with a plastic paint cup as opposed to a metal cup. This proves difficult to see the inside of the Cup when spraying transparent clear coats. I will use one of my aluminum cups in the future. I WOULD HIGHLY suggest that anyone should purchase a multiple size paint gun brush cleaning kits that has multiple sizes including a tiny one that could go through the paint gun to clear anything blocking the paint gun. And you have to THOROUGHLY clean the gun after every use so that paint and clear coat dont harden and create blockages which is a major issue when using paint guns. I usually spray thinner though the gun after assembly following cleaning. And then a small amount of WD 40 after that. Buy this gun!! ... show more
