****update*** I received a new microphone and Aeroband threw in some free products as a goodwill gesture to make up for the delay in resolving my original issue. I LOVE this instrument and the microphone is exactly how I hoped it would be. This is also great as a MIDI controller. I have some physical problems that cause a lot of pain for me trying to play a regular guitar and this has enabled me to play way more on a guitar than I thought I would ever be able to play! This is pretty cool technology and allows me to be creative in a whole new way. I am excited to see what else they will they will update in the future. I am hoping for an easy left hand switch! I was really worried I had a defective guitar and I was not going to be able to get a new product but customer service reassured me along the way that they would make sure all was right and they did! I am very pleased with this product! Not to mention its sleek aesthetic! Original review I purchased this microphone because the microphone feature was one of the main reasons I bought the AeroBand Smart Guitar. Unfortunately, the microphone I received would not properly fit or function with my guitar. I contacted customer support immediately. One of the first things I discovered was that the phone number listed on AeroBand’s website was not valid. After reaching out by email, I was told they do not offer phone support, leaving email as the only option for resolving an issue with a premium product. The troubleshooting process then took weeks, with one question at a time over email. Although support eventually agreed to send a replacement microphone, shipping delays meant I was still unable to determine whether the problem was the microphone or the guitar before my Amazon return window closed. For a product costing over $500, I expected better quality control and a faster, more customer-friendly support process. I still want a working guitar and microphone, and I hope AeroBand resolves this issue. If they do, I will gladly update this review.

I ordered this Item and received a day earlier than expected, after reviewing its production and performance, its in top working order and has no issues, the instructions are easy to follow and its a great starter guitar for learning. As a victim of Multiple sclerosis, that lost 25% of my hand strength, the strings are very easy on my fingers and the strings for right hand plucking are very easy to operate. Best Cash well spent.

So. This is a fun guitar. Don’t get me wrong. My husband was wanting to learn and we both messed around with it. It’s definitely beginner friendly. But as a slightly more advanced player it’s pretty frustrating. Especially if you’re wanting to get a more electric guitar sound. Each chord cuts off immediately. There’s no way to slide, or bend or do any of the fun tricks that make electric sound good. But for strumming. Learning chords, adding some fun sound. It’s alright.

This guitar changed my music life- I’ve been struggling for years to find a way to play guitar with multiple health challenges that make my skin and fingers very sensitive to the shredding that comes from pressing down on metal (or really any) guitar strings- also as a piano player my plucking hand has always surpassed my fretting hand just because I have so much trouble pressing the strings. This guitar, with its odd silicone ‘strings’ has radically improved my playing within like 1 hour of trying it out. I can do all those barre chords I never imagine I could ever do- I can actually play advanced chords I’d studied but never physically been able to achieve. And they sound clean- and oddly mimic hammer ons and pull offs and string vibration- once you get the hang of the mute button that improves the sound of your playing eve further- so easy to switch to alternate tunings, to adjust each individual string volume and sensitivity (my high notes always seem to drown out my low notes on a low guitar). My Dad is a guitar master and purist- is this for him? Probably not. But I’m a multidisciplinary musician that has always wanted to play guitar more fluidly and this odd little guitar has finally done it! It’s not a toy, but it’s not really a guitar- it’s sort of an advanced midi that plays like a guitar but easier. And I do love my midi controllers of all kinds. Super super super happy, but be warned that like my Dad so astutely said: it’s like a whole other instrument that looks and plays a bit like a guitar. In terms of playability, I tried out multiple Enya smart guitars and could not physically do what I can do with the Aeroband- very comfortable to play, not super happy with the price but not disappointed either. For the right player and person with the right mindset- this is a winner

Not for the guitarist.

This is an amazing musical instrument. Not exactly a guitar, but not exactly not a guitar either. The fretboard has pseudo-strings directly on the fretboard; it has a zero height action. It requires only a light touch to make a note. You pick or strum real strings, and the sound is remarkably good. Perfect for players like me with stubby fingers. Much has been written about it pro and con, but I like it a lot. Addendum: I had a small problem with the carrying case, and Aeroband immediately sent me a replacement case. I wish every vendor had such great customer service.

What can I say about the Aeroband Guitar? I can tell you that it rocks! This guitar is worth the money especially if you have a hand injury or severe arthritis like me. You can play this guitar for hours due to touch sensitive pads on the neck, super cool. Also for beginners, the guitar has silicone strings that are built into the neck. No finger grooves and easy to play. I would highly recommend this product to everyone of all ages.

I tried the Aeroband guitar for a few days. It seemed well made with mostly pleasant tones. For classical guitarists the guitar needs much improvement. Hopefully, the company’s engineers will develop a more responsive instrument that allows vibrato, improved portamento, better slurs and more sensitive expression capabilities for solo playing. At this stage of the game, the instrument just doesn’t seem ready yet for classical players. It is good for strumming and casual fingerpicking folk and pop styles. As a humorous and embarrassing side note, my left breast kept turning on the drum machine in the middle of a piece. Relocating the switch or allowing it to be completely off would help greatly for some of us female guitarists. My breasts are only a size B, but golly I hated it when the drum machine would suddenly kick in.
