  • Does a great job on lawns
These are nice, but make sure you’re careful walking in them especially if you have uneven grounds. It takes a little time to get use to walking in, but once you do it does a great job on your lawn.

  • So far so good
Works great. Stay cinched on like snowboard bindings.

  • Strap broke
Strap snapped as soon as I started to use this product. Perhaps hard plastic and rivets aren't the way to go...

  • FRIDOU Lawn Aerator Shoes
The media could not be loaded. It is spring time and lawn care is part of the routine around here. My heavy aeration work is done in the fall but in the spring I like to do small hole aeration. This looked to be the perfect item for that task. It arrives in a plastic sealed bag. Inside are the two shoes with the spikes in another small plastic bag. There is an installation tool included. Also found in the bag are the instructions for assembly. The quality of the shoes is very good and well designed. There are comfortable wide straps that fit a good portion of the foot. Not like many others that just have plain straps that do a poor job of keeping the shoe in place. These are a good fit. The spikes just snap into place. No nut and bolt type of deal. They snap in place tightly. Releasing them is done by pushing the plastic retainer aside from the upper portion of the shoe and pulling the spike out. One size actually does fit all. You place these over your regular show. The only thing that might be a problem is replacing the spikes. I was unable to find replacements of this type. That aside, they do a good job of aerating the lawn. I am very pleased with this item. ... show more

  • Better than what I thought
Although the header (title) of this product states "Only Shoes", they DO come with the spikes. You will find that this is a common issue with Chinese to English translations being done by someone whose first language is not English. Design and description: Having good flexibility, they appear to be sturdy- both the platforms and the spikes. The spikes are basically a heavy gauge pop rivet. FIt: Putting them on the first time was a wee-bit of a challenge to adjust the fit. I am 6'2" 190 lbs and wear a size 11 wide shoe. Size 11 seems to be at the end of the spectrum to fit. A size 12 is pushing it but will work; your toes will be hanging off the front. Width is no problem, I only adjusted them one size wide and have a few more notches to go wider. Not sure how well they will fit with boots. Use and technique: Once I had started to walk around the yard, they loosened up a bit and I was able to cinch the straps more and better adjust them. My lawn was soft enough for these to sink right down to the full length of the spike. It took a little "pull" to get them out but once I had a technique down, they worked fine. You want them snug to your feet/shoes. Once assembled and donned, I set out and put in about 1200 steps in my backyard. Because I am always working in my yard and tamping down my grass, my intent was to use these while I walk around working in my yard- double tasking. Stepping on and off hard surfaces and going in and out of the garage, I figured I would use an old pair of gardening shoes that I could slip in and out of but without having to remove the aerator platforms so as not to damage the spike. Because they require a tight cinch and snug fit, that did not work (can't blame a guy for trying). So I just used them to systematically lay out a pattern and walk the areas of my yard where aeration was needed most. To get a good aeration similar to what a machine will do, you have to take baby steps and ensure you are covering the entire area. My yard is pretty big so I was not going to aerate the entire lawn in one step-session. So set your Apple Watch, Fitbit, pedometer, and look at it as a workout. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • The Joke's On Me
I've tried using similar aerator products in the past with poor results and really thought that this pair was going to be a joke as well. Instead, I'm laughing about how easy they are to use, and how effective they turned out to be. The design is about the best I've seen so far, with only a few minor detractions to mention. First, the ratchet adjustment for the rear strap is excellent, and could have been used for the front strap as well - both for attaching and then removing these shoes. Second, the adjustment on the bottom to allow for wider feet only adds a tiny bit of length to the strap and could have simply been eliminated, replaced by a longer strap. This is nitpicking, however, as these shoes get the job done and although you may not want to do an entire lawn with them, they will certainly be helpful in your problem areas. ... show more

  • Works wonders on my lawn
I ordered these FRIDOU Lawn Aerator Shoes to use on my lawn. I easily installed the spikes into the shoes with the tool included. The shoes are adjustable to fit any shoe size. The toe and ankle straps keep the shoes in place securely and release easily when done. The difference these shoes made on my lawn is incredible. My yard has clay-based soil that makes it hard to grow on. These shoes penetrate the soil without damaging the surrounding grass. This allows the water to reach deeper and improve the soil overall. All the dry, yellow spots on my lawn are gone. The shoes make it easy to aerate my lawn simply by walking on it. I recommend these FRIDOU Lawn Aerator Shoes to friends. ... show more

  • Fit and work better than the older style aerator shoes!
The FRIDOU Aeration Shoes for Lawn, Lawn Aerator Shoes with Spikes are designed and made different than the older style aerator shoes I've tried to use previously. These fit tighter to my boots and cinch up tighter. This keeps my feet from sliding back and forth and tripping me when the spikes really grab the soil. These can still pull up clumps of soil but are easier to clear than the old style hard plastic shoes. I'm fairly well satisfied with the quality and performance of the FRIDOU Aeration Shoes for Lawn, Lawn Aerator Shoes with Spikes and consider them a very good value! ... show more
