This is a gorgeous bathrobe made of high-quality 100% Turkish Cotton (and actually made in Turkey, unlike some robes claiming to be made of Turkish Cotton, but made somewhere else). I am 5'4" tall, wear a size 14 and ordered this robe in size XL/XXL to ensure a roomy fit and that there would be plenty of overlap so it would stay closed when walking or sitting. The robe fits generously and feels so soft and comfortable. It looks and feels great and there is plenty of material to wrap around myself. The shawl collar is not too bulky as is sometimes the case with this style of robe. The sleeves are just the right length for me when cuffed. There are two large square (well, rectangular) patch pockets that are big enough and sturdy enough for my hands or small items. The belt loops are at a good position for me, right at the waist and the belt is long enough to tie a bow or just knot it and let the ends hang free. There are no inner ties to help the robe stay closed. The length of the robe is to just below my knees. There is a loop at the neck for hanging. The fabric is rated at 400 gsm, which I thought might be a bit thin or flimsy. But that is not the case at all -- the material is of excellent quality, as expected. It is thick but not too heavy and consists of densely packed mid-length terry loops inside and out (not velour outside and terrycloth inside) with a very luxe look. There are no runs or pulled loops. The robe is well-made with straight, even stitching and nicely finished seams. There are no skipped stitches or loose threads. The robe is very absorbent. It launders well; I washed it in cold water followed by line drying and there was no shrinkage and the robe fluffed up nicely and came out even softer. The current price of $39.99 is more than reasonable for a robe of this quality. I think it would make a wonderful gift.
