Good base repair
Ant Reviews Hope you find this Review Helpful (-: Date Of Review: 12/26/23 Price At Time Of Review: $13 The Review: I have been waxing my own ski’s for awhile now and have just been ignoring the gauges in the base. I decided to get this to fully repair the base of the ski. It’s just as easy as waxing the skis. My only advise is go easy on the Ptex, try and only melt what you need to save yourself time on the cleanup. These 5 sticks will last forever, or at least a really long time. Bonus is it comes with some sandpaper to help with the clean up. Don’t just sand the damaged area, be sure to even it out by sanding beyond the damaged area. Quick Pros: • This repair kit comes with 5pcs Ptex rods, 1pc structure sandpaper,3pcs sanding sponge and 1pc metal scraper • Repair Damage: Firstly, use the sandpaper to scuff damaged areas prior to Ptex application. Our Ptex rods can fix minor ski and snowboard base damage, sanding Sponge can be used for removed rust and polishing steel edge. Scraper is used as a drip plate for Ptex and to gently plane excess Ptex from base. • Widely Usage: This snowboard repair is suitable for cross country skis, skiing double board and snowboard, which suits for any situation, on the track or off the track, will be perfect for training or leisure ski in the park. Quick Cons: None at this time. Official Product Name: Adnee 10 Pack Ski and Snowboard Base Repair Kit - 5pcs Ptex and Structure Sandpaper and 3pcs Sanding Sponge and Metal Scraper for Protecting The Ski and Snowboard Rating System Definitions: 5 Star = Excellent, better than expected, highly recommend 4 Star = Met expectations, would recommend 3 Star = below expectations, but ok 2 Star = Not at all what was advertised, unsatisfactory -Ant

Good refill kit for P-Tex base repair
The main component of this kit are the 5 black P-Tex candles for dripping into gouges on the base of your ski or snowboard. There are also 3 coarse sandpaper squares with sponge backing (180 grit) and one large P180 grit sheet for prep and cleanup. A small metal scraper is included. In addition to this, you may want some wax remover to get the wax and dirt out of narrow grooves (you can also scrape with the corner of a razor blade and wash with Dawn dish detergent) before you drip the P-Tex. The P-Tex is black so you can't see if you have any soot from the burn, so keep the flame low and the wax hot. The metal scraper works but it could be a bit wider so you can use the metal edges of the skis as a guiding rail, but it cuts the protruding P-Tex bumps down to the level base. A metal file can be used to keep the edge of the scraper sharp. These P-Tex candles burned very low while heating to the point where it sometimes was difficult to see the flame. It took a minute or two before it got hot enough to apply, but once it started, it stuck. For the same price, you can get 10 P-Tex candles without the sandpaper and scraper. If you already have these accessories, you might want to look into that option. These seem to be good quality. 5 stars - An easy way to fix your own base.

OK ski base repair kit
The kit comes with 5 sticks of base repair, 3 180 grit sanding pads, 1 sheet of 180 grit wet/dry sand paper, and a small scrapper. The 5 sticks are a bit thinner than normal. Not a bad thing, just something of note as the burn rate will be a bit different than if you are used to standard sticks. I also find the sticks a bit more stiff than normal P-Tex. Not sure if it will have the same properties and hold up as well. I will have to keep an eye out for the longevity of my repairs. I like the 3 sanding pads - they will come in handy for the prep work. I doubt I will use the sand paper. Not a fan of using that. Lastly, the scrapper is too small. It is 4" in width but it needs to be 6" in order to ensure you scrap from edge to edge. Many of my skis are wider in parts than 4" and as a result you run the risk of digging into the base you just repaired! Not an expensive kit, but given you will be repairing skis that can cost a grand, I would invest in a better package.

Good Sponges, thin p tex and jagged scraper
the p tex is almost spaghetti thin. the metal scraper I received is cut so poorly and jagged you will definitely ruin your base by leaving gouges. the sand paper and sponge things were good. I am going to return for sure.

Ptex is nice and skinny, easy to use. Scraper had sharp corners. Rest of the kit is fine.
Mostly got this for the extra black ptex, and the sticks are nice and thin which makes them easier to light on fire and control a narrow flow compared to my other thick sticks. It's nice this comes with an extra scraper and sand paper if you don't already have those. Unfortunately the scraper had square, razor sharp corners (like most ptex scrapers do, IME) which could easily scratch or gouge your base while scraping the excess ptex off. I rounded them real quick with my dremel, but I'm knocking off a star since users shouldn't have to modify products straight out of the package. I guess you could use the included sandpaper to try and sand the corners down a little too. As for the "sanding sponge" I honestly wouldn't use them to remove rust from my edges like the description states, as they are actual sandpaper which will remove material from your metal edges over time. I much prefer a gummy stone for removing edge rust, as it doesn't sand off any of the steel.

Great Quality
Did exactly what it was supposed to. Easy to use to fix the scratches I put on the bottom of my skis. Left a smooth base in my skies and help up throughout the season. Way cheaper and better than paying a ski shop to fix.

Basic kit
I needed some ptex to make some repairs on my board. This kit is very basic. The scraper is very sharp but narrow. It's not very comfortable to hold or use. On a positive note I do like the three scruffy pads included. They have sand paper on the other side. I imagine I'll use up the scuffy pads and sand paper before I use up the ptex sticks.
