This violin is pretty good quality for the price. I'm knocking one star off because the bow split at the tip within days and I had to purchase another bow (and no I did not overtighten it). It doesn't want to stay in tune but I'm hoping that will work itself out in time. The resin it comes with is useless. I had to buy a better quality resin. This instrument is great. I played for 10 years and decided to pick it up again. The sound is good, overall craftsmanship is beautiful. However, after practicing for about a month the G string broke. Luckily, this set comes with extra strings so I was able to replace it, I just hope this new string lasts longer than the previous. Update: It’s been two days that I installed the new 4th string and it already broke. I think part of the issue is that the peg doesn’t hold it’s place very well so you have to keep tuning it, causing continuous stress on the string. Taking it down one star. ... show more

I having it for almost 3 weeks now I can say it is great!It comes with all the image shows!I like the added accessories and the chin rest is very comfortable.However, it took me a while to get it tuned.The bridge doesn't come set up it's up to you to set it up but it's easy to set up.When setting up the bridge you'll notice one side of the bridge is higher than the other you want to put whatever side is higher with the thicker strings and slowly tighten all the strings before starting to tune.Get help from a professional if you do not know how to set up.It's playable straight after,the instrument itself is great quality, definitely recommend for first time violin shoppers! ... show more

I have been wanting to learn to play fiddle for a while now. I chose this one for the price and the accessories it came with. When it arrived the strings that were on it (loosely) were not reusable. Bought it for my daughter, this is her first violin. It has a clean and smooth sound. The case feels firm and comes with a bow & a tuner. I prefer not to invest a lot of money until she shows a strong interest and is willing to keep practicing. Good choice for the beginner!

Great product especially for the price. The strings are extremely cheap and one was broken when it arrived, the other followed while tuning. Purchased better strings and have had no further issues.
