I have been using this style of expandable rake for *many* years because it is so versatile, effective, easy to carry, and easy to store in our garage or tool shed. In fact, I compared the CHSCIENCE brand with two other rakes that are designed very similarly. See my photos. Here are my findings. The CHSCIENCE brand is superior to the other two brands I own based the following: its longer, sturdier, wider handle; its wider curve on the metal piece holding the tines, which improves its performance; its composition (stainless steel); and its improved comfort when raking. In my two photos comparing the three expandable rakes, the one in the middle has an especially strong metal handle -- but the handle on the CHSCIENCE brand wins by virtue of its equally strong composition along with its considerably wider handle. I probably use an expandable rake more often than any other rake I own. I'm glad I found the better CHSCIENCE option on Amazon.

This is a great little rake for a camp site. You can easily keep it in the storage compartment of your camper and take it out to clear some of your site when you need to. It also works really well. I recommend it.

This thing is truly heavy duty and I'm sure it will outlast the rusty old one I've been using. The tines are thicker and tougher than most rakes and the adjustable width allows me to make the rake suit the job. The handle is aluminum and sturdy and is adjustable for length. Best rake I've ever owned!!!

I keep one of these in my truck for specialty work like raking around closely spaced plantings. It doesn't take much space. This one has a better (wider) handle than most, easy to handle and adjust.

This metal rake is very handy around the yard and is easy to store when not using. The handle is in multiple portions and the rake folds pretty flat but expands for raking. You can even fold it down to accommodate a smaller raking path. Very nice rake.
