This rake is very sturdy, even given the fact that the pole comes in segments, they fit together well enough that you wouldn't notice. I also like that it is quite a bit taller than a standard rake with all of the sections installed. The mechanism allows for different widths between the rake teeth, which is handy for using in various areas. In the most compact state, my cat also finds it to be a nice back scratcher! Overall, a nice rake that can collapse into a small form factor; would be perfect for camping or having on-the-go for some reason.

Garden Rakes, Adjustable Metal Rake, Lightweight Steel Leaf Rake's Handle 34"-68" with Expandable Head 8"-20", Quick Clean Rake for Shrub, Flower Bed, Camping I ordered this on June 8th, arrived on June 10th, via Amazon, left at our front gate, intact and undamaged. This rake replaces a forty year old rake that I had cut down in width and removed the handle so it was narrow enough to fit under some closely planted shrubs and bonsai trees. The fit and finish is decent, no sharp edges or burrs, handle screws together (suggest you make two wraps of teflon tape on threads), material is mostly stainless steel (so rust resistant), lock for adjusting tine with is plastic, is very light at 1.6 pounds. The handle is thin wall steel and not solid so I would be careful to not leave this lying on the ground, if accidentally stepped on, may break. The tines are wire and not 1/4” flat steel, so it does a poor job of raking up small leaves and debris which is a problem for me because a lot of my bonsai shaped shrubs and trees have very small leaves or pine needles. The tip of the tines has been rounded, which for my application is important because some of our ground coverings have long soft leaves that easily tear, such as agapanthus and ornamental grass. This rake does work but not a good fit for my Japanese landscaping, was hoping it would work but will continue looking. Note: This is also not a grass rake. Description states works on grass clippings but I strongly disagree, more so because I tried it on our Zoysia Z3 Grass and it does not rake up fine grass clippings. (Zoysia Z3 is not a fine blade grass, is medium width blade) The suggested MSRP is not cheap at $24 but it doesn’t break the bank (is cheaper then Big Box Stores but not as cheap as on line). I am giving it a 4 Star rating, not subtracting stars because it doesn’t work for my application. I am subtracting 1 Star because it does not rake up our grass clippings. I do however stress that the Buyer first makes sure they understand the limitations of this rake. I was aware of the limitations before ordering it, but took the chance anyway.

I was a little disappointed with this rake. It's not very durable. When you can out the wire head of the rake it's not that wide. Assemble was pretty simple. You just screw a few bars together and attach the bar to the head bumy also screwing it together and then assembly is finished. You can make the rake head small or adjust it to fan the metal wires out wider but I was pretty disappointed with the width. After a week of using this rake the wires on the head have already started to get bent up and this was just from raking lightweight leaves. It's just not a very durable rake. Overall like I said it's pretty disappointing.

I got this to pull out the mulch from under the shrubs but my husband grabbed it to use in the garden. It is now his garden rake. He likes the adjustment on width to get in between plants. The tines aren’t sharp points but have a rounded 1/2 ball shape on the ends. This really helps to not stab dirt clawds and get them stuck to the tines. When all the handle pieces are screwed together they feel really solid and there very little flex while using. The segmented handle is also handy to adjust the length of the handle for various applications. Al in all we have been happy with this rake and recommend.

Honestly this rake is a solid multi-tool! I used it to rake the yard and clear dirt/debris from the top of my stone wall with is more compactly pulled. Took a star bc there isn't any real easy way to keep the tines from slowly turning to one side or the other, but other than that I love this!

This adjustable metal garden rake is a wonderful option for having at home. It is lightweight. It assembles quickly with just the twisting of a few connectors. It can be shorten or lengthened. It closes to compress in order to be put away easier and take a less space. This is a great option for beginners and for youngsters or older.
