The good: The single dumbell replaces five others. Relatively quick and easy to switch between weight plates. Square shape doesn't roll around on a hard floor. The 3 to 11 pound variation is great when that is the range you are working with. I am a senior so these work well for me for many exercises. I use five pounds for shoulder raises. I use eleven pounds for curls. I use three pounds for external rotator cuff and nine pounds for internal rotator cuff. These are probably too light for power lifters. I like the color, but it seems like if they were to be dropped they would crack because the plastic seems thin. But they certainly do what they are supposed to do.
