Product just arrived and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Seems well made and good materials. On the other hand, it was packaged horribly. This product should have been rolled and shipped in a cylinder container. It was folded length ways and again width ways which caused a bad crease and a slight tear where the two folds intersect. It also caused the film to develop wrinkles which I took a hairdryer to and they did flatten out somewhat-not as good as if it was stored flat and packaged correctly. I know it may sound petty about the wrinkles but they cause bright spots on the plans when this is used outside. Think of it as trying to see the bottom of a pool when waves are being made and the sun is reflecting into your eyes. ... show more

This is an overall good product for house plans. I like the magnetic closures that help keep the portfolio / carrier / whatever you call this thing) partially rolled up. The main issue is that it does not readily accommodate removal ad reinsertion of a typical set of house plans (like 10-15 sheets). It is a bit tricky to "push" the leading edge of a stack of drawings into the carrier; the leading edges of some pages get folded over as you try to insert the stack. It might be better if there were a little more thickness accommodation on the sides and bottom edge, but I'm not sure how to do that aside from sewing like 1/4 inch sides and bottom. Or maybe, a little talcum powder might help? Don't know, haven't tried that yet. ... show more

I did not realize the item description says it's 22x34, and this applies when you select the 'size' as 24x36. So while it will hold 22x34 engineering plans, it will NOT hold (without cutting or folding) architectural drawings. The clear plastic is like what pool toys are made of, smells just like them. Clumsy velcro (but robust I must say) Unattached velcro straps for binding while rolled up don't seem long enough to be functional and could be easily lost. I expect it would wear the same. Product looks good and i had hopes but it let me down. Like the idea of the magnets. My concern was the quality of the plastic which ended up being exactly as i assumed. Too stiff. The center had a crack it it from the day i opened it because it was folded twice for packaging. I delayed using it in the cold weather but in less than a month with little use, it already has several cracks. And even the few times it was out in a light drizzle, it was enough to leak in around the stitched edges and get the blueprint wet. ... show more

    • Perfect carrier to protect your blueprint
I purchased this waterproof blueprint shield for our landscape designs. It is perfect to hang on a wall, or bring out to the site. Not to worry about getting the plans dirty or ruined -- you can easily wipe it clean. It has especially been helpful b/c of the rain. No ruined, wet blueprints!
