I was pleasantly surprised by this journal! There are no margins or unwanted text. The ruled lines are gray. Every single page is perforated. It's well-made and durable. And, more importantly, it's inexpensive. Great product!

I have been a big fan of Amazon’s brand when it comes to their smaller sized hardcover journals. Let’s talk about the phenomenal packaging! These two hardcover notebooks come in sturdy and protective packaging. Excellent and well thought-out. Protected from bending and moisture. This journal surprised me a bit. Pages are thin/feel cheap compared to their smaller hardcover journals (much thicker paper, but priced the same as these). Not a deal breaker. If you’re archiving stuff, maybe use a nicer thickness paper journal. But… it is nice these use acid free paper. And when I use my Pilot G-2 gel pens and Uniball Signo 207 pens there is no bleed thru. That’s what matters to me. Nice that the pages are perforated. If you make a mistake can cleanly tear it out without messing up the spine. At $10-11, these are a great value. If they went up to $16 there are better contenders out there to consider. My suggestion: if you like these, order in bulk to avoid price swings. I manually counted the sheets in my notebook (as of Nov-2025): 168 lined sheets (336 pages to write on). 1 blank sheet at beginning. 1 blank sheet at end.

I recently picked up the Amazon Basics Professional Journal (10.5x7.5 inches), and I’m really happy with it! 🖊️ The black cover looks sleek and professional, making it perfect for meetings or personal notes. The pages are nice and thick, so I don’t have to worry about ink bleeding through. It’s spacious enough for writing, yet compact enough to fit in my bag easily. Prime day sale- I intended to get a single package of 2 notebooks/journals (whatever you want to call them) and they happened to be on sale so I got a really good deal. When they arrived I thought, "oh my goodness, these are SO much sturdier than I thought!" While I wasn't wrong about that, the surprising heft of the box was due to the fact that I'd apparently ordered 2 of them because the app was struggling a little bit because the system was a little overloaded, or whatever is it that will make it act a little funky on prime day. Did that thing where you place an order and it doesn't look like it goes through at all and you wait and still nothing changes so you think it definitely didn't go through and turns out it did. My own technological difficulties aside, I got these because I wanted a notebook with decent lines paper that was perforated and would tear out cleanly for writing notes to the teacher on before school started after having learned last year (the hard way, of course) that I really SHOULD have something that doesn't look like it was involved in an unlicensed cage fight with a grizzly bear by the time you tear it out of something and then have to rewrite it because of how many words went missing on that side of the page and wasn't from a nearly 20 year old 5 star notebook from back when I was in college that still had some blank pages in the back that weren't even really white anymore. I got this with the express intent of tearing pages out of something I could write on while standing up and not having to have it on a hard surface because it was floppy. This was everything I wanted and more. Mostly more because I accidentally ordered 2x more than I meant to. If I'd paid full price I think I'd be pretty upset, fortunately I didn't and the notebook was nice enough I was okay with the idea of having some that maybe I didn't have to tear apart.
