  • was really easy. time consuming but easy.
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
After researching several options on ceramic coatings i went with adams. the instructions are informative, and easy to understand. the prep spray is great, the silica spray i'm going to go out and rebuy- it is that amazing. i prepped my car before the coating, by washing it. then used the pre spray hours later in the garage after the car had dried. i worked one section at a time. i went slowly, the process with breaks took me about 3 hours. after i completed a section i would sit down, garages are hot. i let the coating cure for more than 24 hours. then i applied the silica spray and that stuff is amazing! while i had minor imperfections due to this being my first time using this product on a major scale, i also chose this product because i could use a polish and wax on top of the silica spray. (black light polish/ chemical guys and adams buttery wax) eliminated any noticeable issue i had. - though i only used this on my hood. everything else matches still and the look is like glass. i figured spray detailer could make it pop, but when i sprayed it on the side panels, it rolled right off so fast you could hear the plops hitting the concrete. for the side mirrors i used just the silica spray and buffed it out, the glass and rims i used the adams ceramic spray which is pink in color. though i used the applicator that came with this kit for ease of application for the windshield/ rims. all in all, it's time consuming. But! it's well worth the time spent. Notes: 1.Plan on doing this when you have another car available to drive, let this product completely cure before applying any other product. 2.Invest in adams towels for this procedure. 3. take your time, it's not something you want to rush though. 4. Paint was coated with this product only. 5. Glass was coated with the thicker older ceramic spray. 6. i Cerakoted my trim with the Cerakote trim kit. - i gave that review 2 stars. look elseware. 7. i used a foam cannon with 1part dawn to two parts adams car shampoo in filtered water in the foam cannon to decontaminate the car. 8. use the gloves so you do t get finger prints sealed in under your coating! ... show more

  • Ceramic coating
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
Very easy to apply and wipe off coating. Amazing protection and very hydrophobic! BUT it did not last long. It clames 5 years protection but it didn't last more than 6 months for me. During the summer it worked Amazing! Water flew off the car. Could dry my car with a leaf blower. But the harsh winters and ice storms and road salt definitely killed the coating. Following year when it was warm enough to clean the car again. I did as directed. Washed the car and Clayed the and reapplied the ceramic boost and it was nowhere near as hydrophobic as it was in the beginning. Hardly any water beading. Water was sheeting and flat and sticking to the car as if I never protected it. So for my experience it only good for 1 year and that's it. So I have mixed feeling for ya. If you want a good quick one year protection and don't really care about the condition of your cars paint and don't want to keep waxing the car then this a good product to have. If you're someone who loves haven your car in perfect condition then I wouldnt get this product. ... show more

  • It’s the real deal, but take your time for best results.
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
This ceramic is the real deal. The kit comes with everything you need to fully coat 2 midsize sedans. After all the prep work, your car will look gorgeous, then this coat can do its job to maintain that. This stuff is not meant to hide or correct imperfections, you have to put in the work to fix your paint. If you don’t fix any imperfections, they’ll be frozen in time under the ceramic. As directed, wash, fully dry, clay, machine polish (preferably DA), and then remove all the residue from the previous steps. The ceramic coat goes on smooth, comes off with a tactile drag and begins to buff out to a smooth glass-like surface. Took me the better part of a day from wash to complete coat. That’s the reason it costs so much to have ceramic applied by a pro. Take your time and apply the coating to a small area at a time. On a mid size sedan, I’d say a quarter to a third of the area of the hood at a time, or the top half of a door. Don’t get it on glass, trim, or tail lights; it won’t come off without a fight. Masking off those things is a good idea. Don’t try to do too much at once. This stuff flashes pretty quick in warm weather and is ready to be hand wiped no longer than 30 seconds. Get ahead of yourself, and you may miss application or wiping off of a spot. If it cures, it’s on there for good. The only way to correct it is to machine polish it off of the whole panel, remove all compound residue and reapply. If you’re not ready to do all this, stick with wax. Ceramic is not forgiving, but well worth it in longevity compared to true wax or polymer waxes. ... show more

  • Better off to leave for the pros
Size: UV Complete Kit
I bought this to protect my 2021 Wrangler. It’s black, so I was nervous about doing this. Overall, the product is probably fine. However, the application is more difficult than it seems. I strip washed, iron decontaminated, clayed and polished all before using this kit. I prepped the surface, applied in the shade in small sections at a time, and got streaky results. Under normal conditions, the coating looks good, but when I use the UV light, you can see a somewhat streaky application. It’s probably my inexperience, but I definitely followed all of the instructions and expected better. Also, different body panels accepted the coating differently. My fenders have a slight blueish tint to them now (I am guessing from the UV chemical) in certain direct sunlight conditions. You can see they look different at different angles from the attached pictures. I may use a polish to remove the coating. Like I said, the product itself is probably fine, but I’d leave the application to the pros. ... show more

  • Probably the best thing I did to my Pilot
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
If you are still thinking of buying Adam's Ceramic paint, I highly recommend you do it. I finally had the chance to use it on my 2020 Pilot and I am so happy with the outcome. I first discovered the ceramic coating 4 years ago when I have it done on my Lexus IS350 and paid a fortune for it. I saw a lot of good reviews of this product and how easy to install this so I pulled the trigger and bought one since we are planning to buy a larger SUV. So I followed everything in the YouTube videos that I found of Adam's Ceramic coating. Since this is a new car purchase I didn't do any paint correction. I did the overall wash, clay bar, polish using DA polisher on the first day. The next day I did the preparation spray and then applied the first coating. The UV light really helped a lot since I was doing this towards the night. The next day I applied the second coating, no need for the prep spray. And then the next day I applied the ceramic boost and voila.. The entire 50ml was exhausted for the 2 coating. I also did the trims with one coat and nothing was left. I highly recommend this product. This is the first time I did this and you can see the photos how shiny the car is. Thanks Adam! ... show more

  • Awesome Ceramic Coating!!!
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
I ceramic coated my Honda Civic Type R's body and wheels with this kit. I received the kit itself late on Friday and started the actual coating process on Saturday morning, it took many hours and the coating itself was easy, but the prep took alot of time. I took the process VERY SLOW and made sure I prepped the car correctly as ceramic coatings are semi permanent. I washed the car, did a compound and polish and then used the included surface prep to prepare the surface for the coating itself. I did every coat panel by panel and waited about 2-3 before buffing off the excess. The UV Light helps alot with seeing where you applied (or didn't apply) the product. When I was done I found a few high spots, but they came out with Adams Brilliant Glaze since I caught them early, the next day I applied the included ceramic boost, which really made the cars finish pop. The whole thing took about 6-8 hours. The cars finish feels very smooth and has a killer shine. Overall I am very happy and can't wait to see how this coating holds up! ... show more

  • Viable alternative to the $1300 professional ceramic coatings
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
After reading up on the ceramic coating craze, and getting several estimates from local shops ($1300-1500!), I decided to take the plunge and explore this technology on a do-it-yourself basis, being reasonably handy and having worked on, and even painted, my own cars. Pretty obvious that surface prep is key, but given that I was starting with a brand new car, with few paint defects (other than a couple of very minor factory mistakes that I wasn't going to correct), surface prep wasn't too exhausting. Once it had been polished, scrubbed, and alcohol-wiped, I started with just doing the front bumper area. It was surprisingly easily. In several minutes after a slow and repetitive application process, the ceramic application material sets up quickly and gets really tacky, and comes off easily. The results are visible from the get-go. Very deep and enhanced gloss. Even did the front glass, and where you can really see the difference in how the glass looks afterwards. Working my way through the rest of the body panels slowly. We will see about durability, but it's clear, for example, that after a short road trip, bugs and other road junk comes off much more easily. Nothing seems to stick to the car. More later after I've had a chance to see about how well it lasts. Really worth it, and roughly 10% of the professional price. So far, results look great, and the work level isn't back breaking. I'm sure I'll get better at this as I do more - and I will do our other car for sure. ... show more

  • Car Experienced its first rain and this product did not disappoint
Size: Ceramic Paint Kit
Works as intended. I have had it on the car for 2 months. Rainy season is here and I love seeing the beading and water just sliding right off. Application was straight forward and did not have difficulties. Took about 6 or so hours with 4 coats.
