I had initially purchased an aftermarket Dorman part and still had the P145C code on my 07 Acura TL Type S. Until I went with this OEM part and had it installed, cleared the code and it never returned after 30 minutes of run time and putting on a load. The indications I had in the car was a check engine light. My scan tool showed both cylinder banks on my V6 were running rich. Often this code showing both banks running rich is traceable to the Canister Purge Solenoid malfunctioning.. The solenoid offered by Amazon is a Denso that is made in Japan...fit right in. Comes with new rubber mounts. The hoses leading to the purge valve should be replaced also. The top one is formed with a curve. This one is inexpensive through your Acura dealer. As long as I was at the dealer I got the bottom hose also. 20 minutes to change and the Check Engine light is no longer illuminated. Good for another 290,000 miles on my 2005 Acura TL. ... show more

Installed 4 days ago and so far so good, the "Tighten Fuel Cap" message is gone. I did notice the Denso sensor I received was made in Japan as opposed to the one I removed which was made in Mexico. Quick tip, you have to re-use the metal washer and nut that originally tightened the sensor to the manifold so be extra careful not to drop them. One of the air hoses (the one that connects to the top part of the sensor) was stuck so I pushed it back slightly with a flathead and used WD40 and let it sit a little to penetrate to make it easier to unstick, penetrating oil would probably be best but I didn't have any available. Perfect OEM replacement, DENSO Japan, I bought a made in China one first and had to replace it with this. Save yourself the money and go OEM first. No more check engine light or replace fuel cap message 2008 Acura TL Type-S

It took me less than 30 minutes to remove the old part that was made in Mexico and replace it with this nee part which has the recommended Japanese manufacturing. The gas cap light has not returned for months!

    • Get the OEM part
OEM, costs twice as much but several of the reviews of the aftermarket parts were awful. Got this the next day, installed it, drove 60 miles. Parked it. Next morning the check engine light was off. Got it inspected and the light is still off. Clearly my scanner revealed the part and clearly the OEM part was the way to go. ... show more

    • Acura TL 2007 Check gas cap light is gone!!!
I was going to buy a cheaper one but followed everyone’s advice and yes, this is the right one. No more check gas cap warning. It costs more, but it gets done right the first time.
