This little thing is just a little boost if you can't quite reach that top shelf. Like instead of always asking that taller person in your house to fetch something for you. Folds up easily with one hand and it's super flat & small so you can hide it. The one I bought is not very tall, I got it to make it easier to reach the top shelf in my closet (not the TOP top shelf, it's not that tall). It's handy for the top cupboard in the kitchen too. My daughter had one like it in her dorm room; was good when she needed to maximize use of all the possible storage space.

I have two other similarly constructed but taller stepstools. I just wanted one that was easy to step up onto to make it easier for things on the top shelves. Like my others, this one is pretty good and I enjoy the convenience of an 8 inch stepstool.

This is an amazing little stool. A marvel of engineering (wish I would have thought of this design). I tried it myself before I let my grandkids step on it (fyi....I weigh around 115 pounds). It is so cool how it folds up and unfolds and it is sturdy. I wanted something that I could fold up and put out of the way. I have 2 small grandchildren and they can use it for getting up to the sink to wash their hands or to get on the potty...if they need to. There is a weight limit so I wouldn't try it if you are over a certain weight but it works for what I wanted.
