The good: well packaged, seems substantial The bad: no directions - the nut goes on the inside of the 'pot' but does one of the washers? Pretty sure it did but 1 sheet of paper for directions is not too much for a $100+ item.... Gauge parts look standard but seal part number should be provided for replacement. The fitting on the end of the hose that fastens to the vacuum pump should be like others - able to spin on without turning the hose, guage, lid.... Something to note - either the gauges should have a button to reset the needle to zero or the following issue should be noted. We're only at 3800' and on our first 2 vacuum chambers the needle never goes down to zero because we're already at a lower atmospheric pressure.

Very nice. Works as expected. Apparently no ability to order new seals (lid and fitting washers). I would give 5 stars if spare parts can be ordered.

A silicon gasket on a lid had a crack. I also has an extremely strong chemical odor. The item can't be stored in a living area because of the odor.

rubber gasket at the top does not seal on the acrylic. Will not pull a vacuum. If you beat on the top with the pump running, it will start to pull down. But, not every time. Try looking up the manufacturer, you will not find one. If someone knows how to order a new red gasket for the top, please let me know. It seems like each page on Amazon that shows this item has a different manufacturer that does not exist. Sad.
